Ah, memories! That was the corner I used to stand in as a youngster with my dad and uncle. By the time of the said Huddersfield game I was in the Kippax with my teenage mates. God! I’m getting old!

Brilliant.that atmosphere is incredible. I was there,but i still feel tense watching the footage now.

It’s so clear in my memory too. I bet Wigan were well pissed off, blatant penalty not given, possible handball by The Goat, hit the bar in last few minutes...

Yep,i meant to comment upon that too..we were known up and down the country as.one of the loudest and loyal band of supporters in the land
As i said earlier every away game was a party, the range of songs belted out from the crammed away section was large..things went up a notch with the inflatable craze and we brought fun noise and a vibrant atmosphere to every ground we went to.Home fans would often look on in awe and amazement ..transfixed by the Blue army.This was brought home to me when i sat in the wba main stand at the height of the inflatable craze and listened to the home fans around me as the packed away terrace to my right all got behind either Frankenstein or the paddling pool as the biggest terrace battle of all time kicked off.brilliant support...when we won basically nothing,but promotion,for decades.

I don’t know why but I’ve never seen this. It’s the full half hour highlights from MOTD from the Charlton game, and really gives a taste of the atmosphere that day. Just listen to the noise. Also noteworthy are a number of songs which have died:
