The best Manchester ' local' band I have seen was a band called Gamma who used to play at the Champion in Salford, near to the precinct, that was in the late 70's. Did a fantistic cover of Hocus Pocus. If I'm not mistaken one of the band joined Ed Banger and the Nosebleeds. Those were the days hahaha.
