Growing a beard/ goatee

Strangely I have had a goatee for30 odd years, I mentioned to my wife a few years back that I was thinking of shaving it and she was horrified - I said “I didn’t know you liked it so much” she said “I don’t, but you haven’t got a chin and would look weird…”

My old boss grew a beard a couple of years back.

He flew first class to the US and ended up having a selfie taken with John Barroman. JB posted the image on social media, and one of his friends posted the comment 'Whoof - Who's the bear?'

I regularly remind him.

Mines 40 years old now although technically I don't suppose it's still the original as I trim it to 4mm. I really hated shaving...

Sadly, it's longer than the hair on my head now.

Mind you, I’ve had a few chuckles with the ladies and this beard joke:

I grew a beard because of the Velcro effect - when I go down, I stay down!

Tried to grow a beard during the first lockdown in 2020. Found that the hair on the side got really itchy and uncomfortable after a couple of weeks so shaved that off and had a lockdown goatee instead! Didn't like that either after a couple of months so it went too.
