Guardiola to Axe Kompany (Various Sources)

It should be unwelcome currently. He's nine months into the job and his record before coming to us should afford him far more respect than one or two seem to be affording him.
The squad he inherited wasn't good enough, combined with one or two poor decisions on Guardiola's part has made this season what it is. From what I hear and see from City fans he is hugely respected but it goes both ways,I'm not sure he gets City and us fans and where we have come from. He has a big summer ahead of him and the targets should be high next season,if he doesn't hit them we make a change like other top clubs always make.

I'm fucking sick of people calling me a hypocrite for not being the same person I was in 2012 - which incidentally was half a decade ago. Maybe as you get older you stop growing both intellectually and emotionally as a person, but I've managed to do both in the last five years. I'll leave you and Bill to your nonsense double act. Bluemoon is terrible these days and it doesn't help when people like you take up with the idiot brigade.

Grown intellectually yet still call people idiots cause they have a different opinion.

Big boys don't cry.

Love Kompany, a real club legend and one of the best defenders in the history of the PL.

All that said, nobody should be surprised to see him depart at the end of the season, along with almost all the old guard from the Mancini era. Not because of his injuries, and thus his air of unreliability, but because he's not a fit for the direction of the squad going forward under Pep. The same was true of Hart, another club legend, and will be true for players like Clichy, Sagna, Yaya and perhaps even Aguero.

People are so quick to jump on Pep's case, but he was brought in to oversee a transformation in the squad and the development of the next generation of City stars and, ultimately, the job is yet to even fully begin.

I can understand why Vinny went to play for Belgium, he's a proud man and he loves his country, but he's undoubtedly caused a lot of these issues himself because of it. We obviously can't rely on him and he can't rely on his own body, going to another club is not going to change that for him. If i was Vinny's representatives i would suggest that he gets through a full preseason with Pep, declines any requests to join the national team and tries to show he has turned the corner. If he breaks down again, make a deal with the club for a coaching deal with us. Yes he's young and should have loads of football in his legs, but unless he can find something like Giggs did with the yoga or whatever it was, there's no point in him leaving to try and play elsewhere.

Vinny is an intelligent man.

Those commentators who somehow think he isn't being kept fully in the loop...

He's known for 12 months what the score was.
What exactly is the score though? Is he fit? Is he not fit? Are we just not risking him further injury so we can sell him?

If Vinny wants to stay we should let him to stay. With Hart being shipped out, Toure and Zaba being likely to leave and rumours about Aguero leaving we remove so much of the things I love with this club.

If Vinny manages to stay fit he's still a good CB and an amazing leader on the pitch. And it would hurt me a lot to see him play for another club. Pep should make clear to him that even if he's fit hes not his first or second choice. But if Vinny wants to stay he should be given the chance to stay. He's done enough for this club to stay on big wages despite not playing much. And by the time his contract is up I'd love to see him amongst our coaching staff.
