Guardiola to Axe Kompany (Various Sources)

I have no idea if he will succeed in building such a team but I love that he is going to try and has the full backing of our owners.

I think that is the difference over the Bayern situation, he never had the time or degree of control that would allow him to build the team.

Personally I'd rather win less trying to play beautiful football than win ugly. Chelsea will win the PL this season but who will remember the football they have played ? No-one is the answer.

Totting up trophy numbers is for Rags and Dippers.

Beautiful.

He can't join another club straight away.

There is no severance to pay. His contract just elapses.

His contract ends 30th June, if City do not make him another offer they need to paid one month's severance pay, but not if he has another club.

It is the same for all professional leagues in this country, that is why a retained list is published of players offered new contracts.

Totally agree but did he make Bayern into a team that the whole World were creaming their pants about? He didnt reach the CL final with them so why is it a certainty he will make City a team the whole world will cream themselves about.By all accounts with some of the shit hes been left with next season will more than likely be another transitional one.

The man himself has said as much-its other people putting him on a pedestal.

Christ, how many seasons are we going to write off as transitional ?
By the time Pep gets the players he wants he'll be off on his travels

I'm fucking sick of people calling me a hypocrite for not being the same person I was in 2012 - which incidentally was half a decade ago. Maybe as you get older you stop growing both intellectually and emotionally as a person, but I've managed to do both in the last five years. I'll leave you and Bill to your nonsense double act. Bluemoon is terrible these days and it doesn't help when people like you take up with the idiot brigade.

Oh I'm sorry Billy, I must have missed the post were you apologised for being a disrespectful immature mofo and told everyone you had achieved a new level of maturity. Maybe if I grow up as intellectually and emotionally sound as you, I won't feel the need to point of your rampant hypocrisy.

Great post.

Guardiola's all about the spectacle. We should aspire to the spectacle. Winning boring just doesn't do it.

He can't officially join another club until the window opens. It's not severance, it's his contracted wage.

No club worth their salt is going to rush in and pick up the tab on £1m in wages just for the sake of him publicly announcing his next stated destination.

The severance is only more relevant when there is more than a year remaining and the club is forcing them out.

We're not forcing Yaya out, we are allowing his full duration to elapse.

Utter nonsense.

He was brought in to be a centre back and was immediately stuck at RB, where Micah beat him out.

That's why he left. We didn't give him a chance in the position we bought him in.

Did he actually try? He sulked like a mard arse and pulled out of every single tackle. Most City fans were glad to see the back of him and not because he lacked ability. He simply didn't want to be here.

And now Toure's agent says he's leaving this summer too. Says he's talking to United. Oh dear.

On the one hand it would prove what whores Yaya and his agent are and further impact Yayas legacy at City. For me Yaya has been amazing - probably the most influential player in our history. I hope he leaves with some style and protects our memories. On the other hand I'll see the funny side if that lot pay him £200k a week on a two year contract !
