Guidetti's comments taken out of context... (EDITED)

Re: Guidetti bullied by teammates back in 2009...

According to the swedish newspaper Expressen, it doesn't seem like he accuses Vieria and Kolo to have spoken badly about his family. He doesn't give up any names at all, he just describes how it is to be a youth team player in England compared to Sweden. Kolo and Vieria is only mentioned in this paragraph:

Guidetti also describes how he has succeded in England and how he has gained respect.
"You play good and score goals. That's how you gain respect and I can handle a conflict if it arrives. I've stood up against the best during training, like Kolo Toure and Patrick Vieria."

Not controversial at all, imo. If he really had mentioned a former or current senior player at City, and accused them for badmouthing his family, Expressen would have come out with their guns blazing, believe me.

Spitting is not on
Talking shite about someones family is not on.

A bit of hazing ( cutting boots in half ) is probably fair game but it does need to be looked at.

Re: Guidetti bullied by teammates back in 2009...

I can't believe anyone is taking this seriously at all. For a start Guidetti is taller(at least now) than Kolo Toure who's only 6 feet tall. Over 2 meters would make him over 6' 6". Just another crap media piece. Ignore and move on.

By the way the twitter claimed to be from him(back in training today) looks to be the only true bit. Which is good news.

Re: Guidetti bullied by teammates back in 2009...

Over 2 metres tall ?? Yeah right. Peter Crouch is 2.01 metres tall so no way are Kolo and Paddy Vieira anywhere near 2 metres.

Veira wasn't here in 2009

Must have bullied him by telephone, or perhaps facebook

The article does say though "since he joined the scene at Eastlands back in 2009." not "in 2009". That line itself is inaccurate though as he joined us in 2008.

I've always wondered by we paraded guidetti on the pitch age 15/16, we never do that for youngsters. Was it part of his terms of agreeing (that he wanted the press), or did we know back then how good he was?

Doesn't happen now you;re right but I'm sure I remember Stephen Ireland being introduced on the pitch in the last season at Maine Rd, in the 2-2 against Blackburn when Tiatto was sent off. At least I think it was him, was definitely two new youth signings. Anyone confirm?

Re: Guidetti bullied by teammates back in 2009...

Don't believe this for one minute! Kolo is one of the friendliest players and nicest guys at the club! If he was a C*nt nobody would laugh and joke with him and he would have been sold.

Re: Guidetti bullied by teammates back in 2009...

Like I said before on top of page 3 it was the academy kids aged 16-18 that were bulliing him not any senior players...

Even so, its something that needs to be addressed, although having it raised in the press is not a good thing.

So why did he have a go at Kolo and Vieira and tell them not to talk to him like that? I met Guidetti at a Celebrity Fifa 13 event on monday and hes a brilliant lad shouted John across the room and he came over and talked to me and my brother and shook both of our hands! I cant see why anybody would be nasty with him
