I'd still take a shot at him, but we'll want the transfer fee to be heavily incentivized. £10m at most with maybe another £8m in add-ons but based on his own performance (games played, TOTS, etc.) not team success. Maybe we miss out on him for 2-3 months but if he comes back at anywhere near his normal level it's still a bargain.

Just had a chat with someone who is the know never mind in the know.

Laporte
Gundongen
Pogpa - we hope
Zabba - gone
Mangala - gone
Kolarov wants to stay!
The blond kid from the eds. the left back to be given a chance.
Stones - no

Don't want any shit for this. Posted in absolute good faith.

Yaya - China
Good lord. He can want that all he likes, he best not get it though.

Good in theory, but what about the players own contract?

That will be the most expensive part of the whole deal, will he take on an incentive based contract? And don't forget agent fees which will be considerable.

We have suffered so much as a club because of injuries, we are now on the verge of an exciting new start under Pep, we don't want any passengers and Gundogan at this moment is simply too risky.

Watzke confirms that there’s two options for Gündogan. Either transfer or extend his contract long-term. (via @RNBVB) #BVB

@PerennialPundit Unfortunately. Even if he extends long-term this will start again next year, everyone knows he doesn’t want to be here.

@PerennialPundit Looks like it. We should have accepted Man City’s offer in the one week where he wasn’t injured this year.

Yuk, so painful to stomach :(
Yeah, as much as I don't think he's the worlds worse left back like many on here do I certainly think he's done and needs moving on. I'll be disappointed if we go into next season with only Zaba having left of the four full backs.

If only one leaves, it should be Kolarov.

Even we aren't stupid enough to sign someone who is out for five months ....

Could Kroos be available ? Or Pjanic ?

Borussia Dortmund have told injury-hit Manchester City transfer target Ilkay Gundogan to either leave at the end of the season or sign a long-term contract extension.

The nerve...

He's in demand, but injured, so they know damn well they have to let him leave for less.

This will be a good signing even with this injury which is utterly unrelated to his last long term injury.

I think if we can get the fee right and and a good assessment of that knee then I would go for it. We could wait till January I suppose but it's up to the club
