This is untrue. Kroos essentially kept getting benched when Thiago returned from injury and didn't really fight against his transfer to Real Madrid. I can understand why pep would want Kroos. He plays possession football and is very neat and tidy with the ball, however, you guys really need midfield warriors like Gundogan and Isco.

Now THIS is untrue, it literally couldn't be further from reality.

No Bayern Munich player played more games than Toni Kroos in 2013/14 - 51 games.

He started 45 games - only Manuel Neuer (51) and David Alaba (46) started more games than Kroos.

Not only that but Thiago started 19 games all season, and 12 of them were next to Kroos, so the idea Kroos was benched for Thiago is laughable.

It's also well reported from a lot of sources that Pep was pretty pissed off that Kroos was shown the door because the Bayern board wouldn't give him Gotze's salary.

Literally everything in your comment is wrong - why write it? You clearly didn't have a clue what you were talking about.

If you followed Thiago's career, you would know he was injured for a good chunk of his Munich career. He even made a documentary about it.

Also, if you followed Munich, you would also know that during pep's tenure there and Kroos only season with Pep, every midfielder was injured for a long duration.

Javi Martinez. Bastian. Thiago.

Nearly all media sources saying Kroos was sold against Pep's wishes. Pep is a big fan of Kroos and even raved about him in his book Pep Confidential

Yeah I know they were injured mate, doesn't change the fact everything you said was bollocks. You said Thiago came back from injury and benched Kroos - total shite! He started 18 games between his 2 injuries that season, and 12 were with Kroos.

Now I don't know about you, but when 2 players play 66% of their possible games starting together I don't say one was benched for the other.

Of Course. He plays possession football very well like I said. However, he isn't a DM. Kroos is neat and tidy, has a fantastic shot and excellent set piece delivery. However, he is a complete liability defensively and is very immobile... I mentioned Yaya toure's lack of willingness to retain possession, but Kroos is on a different level. If the other team is countering, just remember, you will see Kroos behind walking....

When Thiago came back from injury, Munich looked like a completely different side and was a lot better. WHY?
Thiago is very mobile, quick, dynamic, plays the possession game better and retains possession/defense a huge upgrade from kroos.
