Having an opinion? Looks more like abuse of a Blue who wrote an account of his experiences in a time when things were different. Show some respect. It was written in a style chosen by a reporter to reflect a working class lad living in a tough district who got involved with football violence.....like I did. Like lots on here did. what a fkin stupid thing to say. I have read this book. In fact I know his Brother. In fact I am the same age and know that most of what is said in that book is exactly as it happened. I know these lads. You wouldn't say shit like that to anyone face to face. Believe me.

Why on earth not? What could there possibly be to fear from people who only ever caused trouble & gave a slap to only those others who were involved in the same thing?

Oh yeah, that's cos that is bollox. That is the biggest myth of those times, that the only people to get hurt were those who were in the firms. Many people totally uninterested in that scene were hurt, some even lost their lives. In the bigger picture, these people were the ones who cost English teams European football for years. They are the reason we had to put up fences at grounds. They contributed to events like Heysel & Hillsborough. Fuck 'em.

I was around in the 80's as a teenager. It's not the truth to say that people who weren't involved didn't get hurt because they did, all too often.
