Harry has been naughty over the last week trying to wind us up by -

- saying he's more proud of the way Spurs have built the team
- revealed the salaries of both Samir and Ade
- undermining the work done by Robert......

-- Thu Jan 19, 2012 10:56 am --

I believe you could go to jail if found guilty......

What pees me right off with this, is that imagine if it was Mancini in this situation.....it would be all over the media 24/7. It would come up in every interview he did....

''Manchester City, who's manager Roberto Mancini is facing court for tax evasion......''

That would be the standard opening line in every article written about the club...... But cos it's 'Arry the media darling, have barely heard a peep about it.....

I've heard the press on talksport say that exact thing, no more so than from Darren Lewis. As the weeks have built up to it, he uses a line similar to that there what you said.
Also, if its a legal case they can't comment on it other than that I don't think.

Re: Harry due in court on Monday 23rd January 2012

no one hardly ever mentions the mass spending done at Pompey by Harry, massive wages, Defoe, , Diarra etc etc.....

they nearly went bust.........

the fans are livid........at Pompey

Re: Harry due in court on Monday 23rd January 2012

The trial wouldn't take place in the Football Season if the charges were serious enough to warrant a custodial sentence - his brief/accountant would insist on it taking place outside the Season.

If he's only guilty of underdeclaring £180k for tax purposes, my guess is he'll get a fine/penalty of the tax avoided (£72k), plus interest (at today's meagre rate!).

Let's hope the only penalty Twitcher gets is on Monday!

Cant see the punishment being to just fine him the amount of tax he has avoided paying. Otherwise no one would ever pay tax – you’d have nothing to lose and everything to gain

Exactly.

I think this court case will possibly reveal some other transgressions by the gentlemen in question.

Carry on.
