Harry Kane

Good luck finding a striker "at not any price" in January. For what its worth I wasn't crazy about the deal, but going into a season weaker in the forward line than last year and it was uncomfortably weak last year is a really poor bit of long term planning. My hope with Aguero, is it really shouldn't shock anyone that we would need to replace him this summer and the plan seems to lacking.
How are we weaker? Serge played the equivalent of exactly 8 games in all comps out of 61 games total.

Grealish gives us a new attacking threat that we didn't have last season so we look stronger to my mind. That's disregarding any impact that the young players like Palmer and maybe Delap may have.

So help me because I get this feeling and I am not sure if it's true or not. Why does it seem as though we have issues getting Tier 1 transfers over the line? We've had some tier 1 players over the years, but most of them were not considered such at the time of their signing. It seems as though signing bonafide superstars has always been something we have issues seeing through to the end. Am I wrong? Do we just do a better job at saying "no" to unreal prices? Do superstars fear the expectations of Pep? Is it us? The weather? I am also open to it just being my own frustration with seeing so many top tier players linked with us, only to see the same cycle of "staying another year" or ending up with United or Chelsea. I am well aware this could just be in my head. It's not like we don't have the funds, facilities, or status. So what is it?
It is just in your head

Welcome to the end of your career.
Good luck in the conference league.

Thank god this has ended.

Next.

No he didn’t - Levy would only sell at a ridiculous price which we were not prepared to pay.
Ok Kane didn’t bottle it but Spurs did next year he we be worth half of what he is in this transfer window. Also Harry is a very silly boy for signing that last contract. He is trapped, too trusting of Levy who is a snake.

Clearly didn’t read it properly

I don’t blame city for setting our own valuation but I blame city for not making our mind up far sooner and targeted players who are now no longer available. Keep up.
You know it is also possible city are not interested in another person btw

I was with you 100% right upuntil the very end of that post.
I know, I know. I just am a kind of cup half full guy. Will always support anyone who pulls on that Blue shirt.Stones was being pilloried and look what happened. Mendy is shot to pieces mentally and getting the odd match here and there does not help him physically either. But i do know how you feel !!

Thought this would go to the last day of the window strange with nearly a week to go but not arsed that it hasn't happened ,we have a great squad and time for torres and hopefully delap to shop us what they can do. mcfc.
Gives us time to try and sign someone else.

Reflecting on tge news I'm rather pleased we haven't spent £100+m on Kane. It did make me feel a little grubby, particularly on top of grealish.
Time for Torres and Delap to step up.

I assume City have told Kane we’re not interested any more, to allow him to come out and make this statement.Decent of us, allows him to focus on the europa junior conference reserves 7th place league, cup thingy
When they win that... cos even Spurs couldn't balls that one up.... will he justify his decision by saying he's got a medal?

Mendy is shot to pieces due to his injuries, he looks finished at City to me.

Thank god the kane saga is over , i didn't want him for that price & his age.
Fairplay to Levy he stuck to his guns, pay a ridiculous price or fuckoff !
Kane & agents got to be thick has fuck , they should of inserted a buyout clause in his contract regardless of spurs being his beloved team .
Time to move on .
