As a club we did all we could and I maintain trust in Khaldoon, Txixi, Pep and the recruitment team at City. I was never comfortable with the media stance of "Levy will get what he wants". I feel relieved that it's over.

It wasn't just the media. I felt as him being the England captain there would have been influences around the FA too. Harry Kane playing for Man City, come on. It would never have happened, pressures from everywhere. I gave up on the transfer two weeks ago.
