Harry Kane

I'd be surprised if we massively overspend on Kane next window.

On the other hand, I think we're willing to spend very big on Grealish.
Depends what your opinion of overspending is compared with City I guess.

Grealish gets done if Bernardo leaves. Bernardo's fee doesn't cover Grealish but we already have cash in the bank from Angelino, Harrison and so forth.

Kane is the one Pep wants. Pep wants Kane reports from journalists from city have said this. Kane is the CF he wants due to his goalscoring in the premier league. This is going to get done Harry’s clock is ticking down. Transfer request will be next

I haven't heard this - maybe you're correct. Kane certainly is able on the ball, wants dearly to join our side, and thus, I can see why Pep would want him.

Trouble is - how much does Pep even want a striker? And then there's Levy.

Even if Kane is Pep's preferred striker - I'm not at all confident that this deal gets done.

Especially because I think we'll sign Grealish for a huge transfer fee - leaving less room to accommodate whateverthefuck huge demand Levy will make for signing Kane.

Levy did the same for Walker, wanted 70 mil some London based journalists were reporting it got done for 50. Gareth bale to Madrid they said he wanted 100 mil on the dot Got done for 90 mil , Levy Pr is massive. Reject first bid put it into the press makes him look like the king of transfers. This time however Spurs are on their knees for money COVID has hit them the worst of all clubs. No champions league also

Bit more from Romano. Sterling and Laporte would not go Spurs imo, maybe Jesus but it is probably being seen as a cash-only deal, with these player exchanges Spurs would have to agree to give us say x amount for one of the three, they seem broke so no chance of that.

As if it's any surprise that Kane has been underwhelming in a setup organised by an absolutely clueless manager in a system he's never played in before the tournament. The knee jerk reactions to these two games are hilariously millennial. The man was sensational last season.

If you think Kane to us isn’t good check rival reactions right now. My favourite one is “it’s not fair city are monopolising the premier league” another one “Harry Kane to city will make the premier league the bundesliga no one could stop them”

Apparently it's not £100m + players, just a max of £100m from us and the option for Spurs to use that to buy some of our players..

Seems odd and definitely can't see them accepting that.

Agree with all of the above.

Still, it's fucking Levy. Maybe we'll sign Kane - but it'd be a lot more likely if we weren't dealing with Spurs.

Great point, Kane can't win a game on his own, for 100m plus I want someone with the ability/magic to win a game singlehandedly.

We have seen in the last week, Kane without service is very ordinary.

If we are going to break the bank, we want a special talent.

Sorry are we selling De Bruyne, Gundogan, Mahrez and Foden this summer?

What relevance at all do a handful of games under a shit manager for England make. If we are using them as a barometer then we should probably ship out both Foden and Sterling as they are crap.

Just listened to Romano and his podcast with CBS, says in the last 'few' days the bid of £100m went in, just cash but there was the option to discuss players if Spurs would want to buy one of our players, no intention to accept 100m, they would want a 'Crazy' bid, nothing would be accepted until Spurs have got a new manager / spoke with Kane (apparently)... if Spurs are waiting till they get a manager we might be waiting forever!

I think this one is fairly straight forward. We will go to our ceiling and if not enough for Spurs we will walk away as we've done many times before.
There will be other irons in the fire and it wouldn't surprise me to see a player not thought of as very top tier signing for us.
Nobody is paying close to 150m for Kane. Levey knows it, Kane knows it and all interested clubs know it.
I fancy him to still be playing for them by the start of next season and moping about for 12 months.

He'll be moping about for a lot longer than 12 months if he doesn't move this window
