Harry Kane

Have some on this forum not learnt anything from last summer? Loads were gutted we signed Dias instead of Koulibaly… how did that turn out again?
To be fair, that was an example of us buying a younger option rather than spending ridiculous money on an aging player. Kane is the opposite. If anything, Kane falling through and us buying someone most of us have never heard of would fit your analogy better.

Do us a favour and stop throwing facts around. It doesn't fit the narrative on here.

One last one. I've changed my mind he's an absolute cripple ;-)

I've just looked at KDBs and his is far far worse. Don't get me started on Sergs.

Oh and Kane still put those numbers up especially in 19/20.

He's Lewandowski level playing for us.

already had it from a rag. "not bothered if you sign Kane. Foden, Kane and Sterling were shit against Scotland, so will be for City". I said by that logic Pogba should be great for your lot, but he's shite. That's what a shit manager can do to good players

If Haaland cost 60m, didn’t break our wage structure and was likely to stay for 10+ years then I’d agree. Unfortunately he’s likely to cost triple the amount, ask to be our highest earner (by a significant amount) and probably push for a transfer or stupid pay rise in 3-4 years like most Raiola clients do.

They didn’t have that injury record when we signed them.
Plus they didn’t cost £130m+ (for both)

I had a Liverpool fan giving me "stick" about us possibly signing the best striker in the league.

I suppose a team winning the league, league cup, getting to a semi FA Cup and CL final WITHOUT a striker buying a 20+ goal a season player will scare anyone.

Exactly. We win the lot with this lad upfront.

Feels like this is the first major signing for a long time that has a more short-term approach. I think it's clear evidence too that Pep will be done after his next 2 years and he appears to be the main driving force behind City going for Kane.

I hope I'm wrong and as much as Kane has been a top player up to now, I would be surprised if City get more than 3 good years out of him. Maybe City will be quite satisfied with that. I can't help feeling slightly disappointed if this goes through though.
