Harry Kane

What, in the mighty Austrian and German leagues? Have a day off.

He did it in THIS league, he did it and all the other players who played for dominant teams didn't do it.

Nistelroy no, Ronney no, Bergcamp Henry no, Shearer no, in fact nobody.

Both very good players but am happier with a 22 year old , record breaking, commercial goldmine who has yet to reach his full potential than Harry Kane as good as he is. The any top Striker would get goals in this team argument maybe partially true but not sure anyone is scoring the numbers Haaland gets along with the assists (think the assists will go up second season as well). Anyone buying Harry Kane gets a very good player for maybe £60m to £80m but for a limited time ( 3 or 4 seasons maybe).

But Haaland wouldn't have had the same figures playing for Tottenham, playing with the same players Kane does every week. Not taking anything away from Erling for the amount he has scored this season, but even someone like Ollie Watkins would get close to 30 goals in our team if he started week in, week out.

Comical.

Now explain why every single striker we’ve ever had since Pep came in failed to get those numbers.

Explain why Jesus couldn’t get anywhere close to those numbers. Explain why Aguero got 21 league goals during 17/18 and 18/19 despite playing in a team that was as good as any ever in this country.

Your argument is proper pissed up bloke down the pub talk. The idea we could get rid of Haaland and Watkins would come in and score 30….Hey, I know - let’s save on Haaland’s wages and bring in Watkins for 20% of the cost!

You know someone doesn't have a strong argument when they use "It's as simple as that".

You don’t have a strong argument and the evidence supports it.

Aguero was.

Watkins isn’t.

Pretty simple really.

Aguero was injured a lot and missed plenty of games. But as good as he was he also wasn't Haaland. Believe it or not I'm not trying to discredit anything that Erling has done this season just gone. His numbers are insane regardless. But, in my opinion, Kane deserves at least an equal amount of credit for scoring just 6 less Premier League goals for a team that doesn't have another world-class player in it. The fact that people want to cry about it here, I couldn't care less.
