Harry Kane

Ake plus Sterling plus £x million

Both return London.

Sterling could transform Spurs into a genuine top 4 club (as much as he frustrates me recently). We get Grealish.

Ake is a good defender. Laporte is happier.

Sterling no chance, Ake is a good call, good move for him.

Is it conceivable that when Kane signed his life to Spurs with that 6 year contract, that it could stipulate that if they haven’t won silverware or finished in the top 4 every year, that he is free to leave after 3 years for £100m.
I have no idea how contracts go, but this would partly explain the comments from Kane about Levy accepting £100m.
City aren’t going to comment on anything until CL over.
For me Haaland over Kane but happily see both in blue.

I would have to think that if his contract contained such language it would be common knowledge by now.

Fair enough, I've no idea how easy or otherwise keeping these things are. But yeah if he's hankering for a move someone would have leaked I guess

I doubt many contracts would contain that sort of language and as has been stated often here, few if any contracts with PL clubs contain release clauses. Players and clubs enter into long term contracts for the obvious mutual benefits attaching to both parties. Also a player knows that in most cases they are not signing their career mobility away.
Push and pull factors come into play which make contracts redundant in many cases. If a player wants to go badly and a big money offer is on the table 9 times out of 10 a deal will be done.
