Harry Kane

i DO feel however that spending 100m on grealish makes our hand weaker in the kane negotiations. If you pay 100m for grealish, how can you expect to pay 120m for the league's top scorer & assists?

Haha. Brilliant. Didn't take you long to be an absolute gobshite on another team's forum.

You keep fighting the good fight fella. You must be proud to be 9th or 10th in the richest club table. Kind of reflects where you're heading in the Premier League table.

Average club in every sense of the word.

Is that a bigger trophy than the Liverpool Net Spend Shield?

Coz that’s how it works isn’t it, some of you here really aren’t too bright

villas owners net worth is more than the glazers as well, villa are not a richer club than Man Utd
I don’t know why people are arguing against this^
He’s spot on.

How rich an owner of a football club is, doesn’t mean much in terms of how rich the club itself is.

Think you're the one that needs to research

That is such an appallingly off example of English, Steven Fry just changed his tweet to say Digby Jones was probably right about Alex Scott.

I was left waiting for a very, very long time for the appearance of the thing that will be researched. Don't do that to people! Life is short. Make it brief, punchy and have them on their way.

In future, please insert an object into your sentence to confirm your use of the transitive case of a verb:
(I) Think you're the one that (who) needs to research more
Or, even better, repurpose the verb as a noun:

(I) Think you're the one that needs to do (<-new verb) more research (<-now a noun)

Cheers. Anyway, you're getting schooled left right and centre on here, so well done to you for attracting so much attention, and promise me you won't throw your toys out of the Pram when this whole charade is put to bed and Kane publicly signs for City. He's been a wonderful servant to your club, but this time, you can't offer him what he deserves. It's very common for modern fans to abuse a loyal player who eventually leaves, but it's a horrible thing, it really is a very ugly part of humans to treat others this way, as fans, these days we seem to take every opportunity to show ourselves up for shallow, fickle, and unpleasant. It's giving over to partisan politics, of the kind we love to say despise in other people. Kane's ok. Whatever happens to Tottenham from here, started long before he left, and will take more than a season or two to work out.

If we look at Arsenal, the stadium ate all their money, and they never recovered their stride. Not yet, anyway.

But look at what Juve have ultimately achieved. They have convinced me it can be done. Good luck. Keep working on the English. People like Alex Scott a lot more than they like you.

Hmm, but let's think this through. it has a huge impact on a club's future investment, even accounting for FFP.

Villa's owners have the resources to create a long term project to challenge top 4.

Spurs' owner is struggling to provide investment to stay in the top 6 whilst servicing debt.

Why do you think a number of clubs were shitting themselves at the potential takeover at Newcastle?

But it’s serviceable debt against a successful team on the field…right? Oops it’s Spurs tho!

Maybe levy leveraged the debt in November before the inevitable decline? Ha.
I believe their debt repayments are £40m a year for at least 23 years. Good luck to them with that. 60 years since they won the league. Horrible club, horrible chairman, horrible fans

The SALT from Spurs fans is starting to raise calling for a transfer ban for us saying it’s disgusting that we are paying 200 odd million on players

Funny how the RAGS can spend over £100 million on Sancho and Varane without selling any players and it is portrayed as being ambitious but us spending £200 million while bringing in around £100 million in sales is unacceptable. Especially when you factor in the Prize money received by each club last season and the comparative levels of debt.

i hope one day.. we start to charge people for admission.. charge people for merchandise.. charge for corporate.. charge for sponsorship..etc..... instead of relying on donations from filthy oil money..
anyway.
we didnt start this.
we didnt sell ourselves on the stock exchange in the 90s to generate money..
this self made cash
this self generated wealth
this Narcissitic selfish dictatotship.....

yes we got a leg up financially... but .. it was needed..

It’s actually nearer to £25m per annum. And that isn’t much at all in the context of increased revenues of more than £100m per annum as a consequence of the new stadium.

Spurs’ problem isn’t financial - at least, no more so than any other club during / post pandemic. The problem has been awful decision making on the football side of things over the past 3-4 years. That’s why Kane wants to leave.

It could be an opportune time for you to sell Kane if you are needing an overhaul. Most transfers at the moment are lower than you’d expect players to go for. Get a decent wedge for Kane and get 4-5 players in areas you need.

Yep, I’ve come round to that way of thinking too. So long as Spurs get c. £150m.

Until recently, though, I would have had no confidence in Spurs spending that money well. But the new Director of Football (or whatever his title is), Fabio Paratici, seems to be going for the right players in the right positions - something we haven’t done in a while. So I’m cautiously optimistic that we would spend the possible Kane money better than we spent the Bale money.

Your total debt is almost 1.2B - more even than Barcelona. There is no way your annual debt service is just 25m.

There’s definitely the opportunity to do so.

There is a dearth of number 9s though. You’d be looking at Ings etc as a temporary replacement.

Nuno might be able to work with amended again though if he has some promising younger players.

I‘ve no idea what the fee would be for Kane. The more north of £100m, the more uncomfortable I get.

Remember being absolutely gutted when they took Paul Stewart our talismanic centre forward goal machine, Paybacks a bitch ain't it.

I marvel that a grand total of feck all people called for a transfer ban of CFC last year when they broke spending records and arguably bought the largest prize in Europe.

City has sold 100M in players these last 12 months. We've 2 seasons worth of CL money going on this season's books (due to the Covid delay in summer of 2020).

I want us to witness the greatest piss-boil of all time this summer... And I believe that we will.
