As fans it might be worth keeping in mind that there are other options out there. We tend to see the big names out there Mbappe, Haaland, Kane etc and create narratives that suit us to justify it having to be whichever player is our preference. Every one of those sort of players are a huge gamble money wise and blowing that amount of money on one player seems so uncity like. It would be silly for City to not size up what is happening around these players but we could all be arguing over something that was never an option. All these players are great but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we go for someone cheaper and less high profile and I really can't say I would be bothered. If we get an Andre Silva type player and he fits in well and can put the ball in the back of the net then every ones a winner. I don't want to put a downer on things but we have seen it happen with City a lot of times before.
