Harry Kane

Bit of a cheap trick and poor stunt to pull, if that were the case don't you think? Undermining your chairman that way.

I think there is a bit of dirty laundry happening there, but I doubt the figure is irrelevant or randon.

It is not a random figure. As Jim says, that is the lowest figure that could be considered reasonable for Kane. The problem is that Levy wants the highest figure that can be achieved for Kane. Supposedly he thinks that is £160m.

That is assuming that Levy is a willing seller.

I think we agree in fairness.

Kane is looking to push buttons, publicly, to get to a point where his chairman accepts a fee from a buying club that would enable him to move. Which was my point.

Where the figure comes from, only he would know, you and I can only guess, and both of ours make sense.

For the record, still think it was a bit of an underhand thing to do.

My expectation that Kane will sign for City is falling because I don't see any evidence that Spurs are looking for a striker, presumably this explains Kane's activity and perhaps also explains why City went all in for Grealish.

I'm just guessing of course but the public positions are miles apart. Arguments about what we would do in Levy's shoes get less convincing because their inactions back up their words.

i think city are all in on kane and its done and dust on both kane and city part and now spurs a stalling
watch the gary neville interview from last season that is a player knowing where he is going and what he can reach at manchester city. the targets kane sets are because of KDB and the other great players city have its that simple

kane knew last season he was coming to city. even city knew the money would be there and its just about how much we can knock off the asking price

What do we all reckon on this saga then, signed and sealed shortly or

are we looking at not happenjng until adter we play spuds on the 15th, kane sits the game out. And him not being sold before this game stops him playing and svoring against them

Hope he stays in Florida a little longer should help Levy land economics boy beg to sell to us as he will need the money for reinforcements at Spursy

If we do sign him I don’t think he would be ready for the 15th anyway. Still on holiday and not really training, I can’t see him playing much before the end of August wherever he is

Twists and turns, won't play against us but plays next game for spuds, then sold at 1145pm on DL day.

There has been vague rumours about Dušan Vlahović.

The issue is the massive difference in price. And you are right to be pessimistic.

On the positive side, the great and the good on here tell us that City will never pay what Levy wants but nevertheless he will accept a low price. They have never explained why that would happen.

But according to Spurs fans they can pay it back when they want and it only costs them 25p a year in interest

If it makes them happy who are we to crush their dreams

It's telling that they've been on here for days waffling on about money. They seem to think that there's a "win" in this for them when in actual fact this is the very definition of lose/lose for Spurs. Then again, that would be very very Spursy.
