Harry Kane

100+ mil for Kane, who is slowly coming out of his peak, or 100+ mil for Haaland, who hasn't even hit his peak?

There’s more to a signing than that though?

He might have already said he prefers to go to Spain next.

We might not want to shatter our wage structure.

If he doesn’t want to come then all we can do is focus on the next realistic target.

It is seemingly more and more likely this is our target and that we will go all out to get him.

Soif the reason you don't want him is based on other strikers you like, or his fee, well may as well get over it, Pep and the club decide what they want and are willing to pay.

I still hold a hope that Haaland is a deal we have in mind for next year and the lad will not be leaving Dortmund this season, so am very relaxed about others signing him.

Not even that slowly. His peak was 4 seasons ago. Still scores lots, but the overall tally is weighted by those couple seasons a good few years ago. I've not seen much to say he will get back to that, and I know there is the arguement that with the chances we create he would, which I accept. He is just as likely to score less though given he may (may) need to change what he does in a team built around him to suit the way we play.

Good post, and most likely what will happen if we sign him. I just don’t see him as the Messiah some seem to think he will be

What exactly is the indication that Kane is slowly coming out of his peak? Also who is more likely to be a better fit, take less time and get going in our squad? Kane or Haaland?

He went from scoring twenties to high twenties even hitting 30, to 17, 18 and low twenties. That is coming out of a peak whatever way you try spin it.

He might hit another peak, a second wave and all. He hit his ceiling 4 seasons ago, which is when his peak was, as it stands.

Wasn't Kane top scorer and assiter this season? How is it past his peak?

He's not a pretty footballer by any stretch, but someone relentlessly putting away half chances and penalties is what we need.

Players of his ilk Drogba, Ibra, Lewandowski, Benzema tend to get better as they get to 30 as they don't rely on pace

Who guarantees you that

a. you will GET haaland's peak and he won't leave before
b. haaland will reach his peak
c. haaland's peak will be better than kane's?

a. true
b. true
c. His last season is already better than Kane's peak, so if he does nothing else and kane doesn't exceed his, it will have been better. Not that it matters.
