Hard to tell with Sergio as he was a notoriously lazy trainer, but by 28 it was clear he'd lost a little bit of that explosiveness, that ability to go at the 'B' of the Bang, that 'Snap', which still didn't stop him from being great, because it was a slight drop from Elite/Olympian level, Hazzard I didn't pay much attention to but yes he'd definitely dropped off not too long after he went to Madrid.yep, even our own beautiful Sergio definitely peaked around 23-26 and imo that was similar.. injuries mounted up and he started taking longer to get back to match fitness as although he has an incredible burst of pace he is by know means athletic. He also had a tendency to have periods of weight gain throughout his career.. much like Hazzard who has declined at an even more alarming and more premature rate.
Hazzard is a pretty good example of what could happen with Kane. Didn’t Real buy him at around exactly the same age as we are considering buying Kane? If memory serves me correctly wasn’t Hazard was showing signs off a physical drop during his last season at Chelsea? Then boom.. cliff edge.
What we need to remember is that the sports science staff monitor and log various physiological, performance and recovery indicators, so it's quite easy for them to see when something has dipped or is starting to decline, and it's not like they're going to readily hand over ALL that data to a prospective buyer.
