Harry Kane

Doubt we would get him at a suitable price but would be a good signing in football terms.

I voted no to having Kane but the more I think about it the more it makes sense. I preferred Haaland, which is why I voted no to Kane, but it appears that Kane is very keen to join us. That doesn’t seem to be the case with Haaland as it appears to be a beauty contest between interested clubs.

It is also a fact that Mourinho managed to improve Kane’s all round game so what could Pep do for him in our much better team.

Finally resale value. Amortisation is the key metric for transfer fees so would it really matter if he went for free at the end of his contract if he had been successful for most/all of it?

Kane is probably the best striker we can get in terms of immediate impact and how he could impact those around him. Imagine what Delap could learn in just 12mths or so before a loan move when he is a bit older. It makes a lot of sense this transfer.

His previous best was 6. It’s a safer assumption to say this season is an anomaly than the new normal. This shows domestically - all competitions total is 17 but still next highest is 6.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble for getting and posting the stats. I guess it will come down to style of play to see whether he replicates or betters this season

Totally agree mate, his scoring has slowed down the past month or so and that’s not a slant on him I don’t think - just more what he’s there for.

It also coincided with KDB returning so his attacking responsibility probably dwindled too.

Not a chance in hell that Sterling would want to go to Spurs - I honestly would say that not a single one of our players would want to make the switch to spurs
I agree, but why would we would be swapping any player for him anyway, Kane is a direct replacement for Sergio that's all.

I do think that Sterling benefits more than any other player if Kane comes. The have a good rapport for England and you'd think his confidence will return if this deal goes through.

It does go to show though that, playing a certain way, he stepped up to the mark

Has anybody watched the Kane x Neville interview? First 10 minutes are full of Kane saying Mourinho was sacked because Spurs lack leaders and essentially a winning mentality. No wonder he wants out.
He’s their captain and not entirely blameless.

Lloris is their captain not Kane Mate
Thought it was Kane?
Doesn’t really make that much of difference.
He’s still isn’t entirely blameless.
They’ve reached finals, played in big games and he hasn’t stepped up.
Now that doesn’t mean it’s all on him, but he plays a in that team so he shares some of that blame.

Just having a focal point to occupy defenders would give Sterling the extra time and space he needs to think, sort his feet out and be effective again.

This guy goes to united or Chelsea and we don't get Haaland or Mbappe, we will have a massive problem.
If City do go for Kane, they know tge other 2 not possible or Pep prefers Kane.
They don't get much wrong, so happy to sit back and watch
