Harry Kane

Yes it does.

The system Southgate is currently playing is horrendous. He took Kane off, brought Rashford on, and he could barely get 4-5 touches too. Injury caution has a massive impact on your performance, not sure how you are simply undermining the factor. Also there was barely any service. Him and Foden ghosting for 2 games doesn't make them shite clearly. Not sure why everyone is judging players off a game or 2 especially in NT where the performances usually differ from club level
Fair enough.

I have never spent £100m+++ on a player previously myself. But let's just say if it was my money, I'd be feeling a bit nervous about it.

Like you'e buying a car which gets rave reviews and you go for a test drive and it misfires badly and has no power, but the seller says don't worry it must just be having an off day.

It would be interesting to see some analysis on how players performed after massive transfers. What % matched and exceeded the expectations..

That is a far more valid observation than just criticising a half fit Kane.

In fairness none of the three looked their best.

well raz has been turgid all season anyway and Kane looks both tired and distracted imo. Foden was a brighter spot for me last night but looked frustrated at the lack of movement from his team mates which we always have at city? People need to remember Kane would be in a pep team with WAY better players than england currently have?

It's a very strange one, you can't argue with his numbers, but I've always said there's something about him and have never rated him, he will definitely score lot's of goals for us and suppose that's all that matters, oh how i wish we were buying a 22 year old sergio, and maybe that's the problem, we are so used to having a sergio type player that when a player comes along that is totally different we are not so sure, he will score goals and pep would adjust our play to fit him in,

If we buy Kane.. I will guarantee by his second season he will become the poster boy of hatred in the match day thread. Just a feeling but I think he could be our Shevchenko, Veron or Hazard (Real).. as in a huge high profile flop.. something that we’ve managed to avoid thus far!

The price tag will carry such a burden, that's for sure. Anything other than outstanding and exceding expectation will be constantly judged. Not just by blues btw, everyone and all the pundits and media. If he comes, it is something he will have to learn to deal with and carry. As will the club.

Kane has out scored Aguero before in seasons but that seems to not matter if it doesn't suit the view point.

As I have previously posted some don't want Kane, that is fine, no issue with that opinion, I am 50/50 on it tbh, but the arguements why others are a better option (bar cost)are very thin

It is all relative to cost though. That is the point. For 50m, great, snap him up. For 120m, everything comes into question, his numbers, age, pace etc.

That’s exactly how I see him, he scored lots of goals but I have never seen him play and think wow he is an excellent player. The best game I have seen him play was against us in November.
I get the impression he is far too greedy and not good enough technically with touch and passing in general play.

Haarland is the only one worth the money in my opinion. If he is unavailable then wait until the right person comes along. Go for Haarland next summer and sort out the other areas this

If you go by the really big fees, examples of those that performed (mbappe, neymar, ronalady - to Real) vs the more numerous flops, you could notice that the younger the player the better they coped with it.

Going for Haaland over Kane for the same price just makes more sense.

I think the key to all this is Messi, if he comes to us then I don’t think we will go for Kane.

to me Haarland is someone who can make a goal out of nothing and I don’t feel I can say the same if Kane.

I though the point of the comment was, he wouldnt, he'd be playing alomgside the exact same players.

unless you mean deeper behind in midfield, in which case, Graelish potentally aside, fair enough.
