It's not on a free. I'd guess people have made a decision based on whether they'd like us to sign him for probably £100m+. Kane has not been shit since he was on loan as a kid, but that doesn't necessarily mean people think he's the one we should sign.
 
Still a no from me.
A very good finisher, but I still don’t believe he’s the right fit for us overall, especially considering he’ll be £150m ish.
 
Best not judge a player by their performance against Ukraine. I don't particularly rate Kane. I know his stats are good, but I'd find him extremely frustrating to watch. If we can't get Haaland this season then I'd rather take a chance on a very promising youngster. If we keep Jesus and sign Grealish (which looks likely) then we have options in attack. Perhaps not ideal, but I'm sure we could survive for a season. It's a shame that Patson Daka has signed for Leicester, since he would have been a good option. I could see him going for an enormous fee in a couple of years.

49% might prefer to sign someone else, which is not unreasonable. Kane wouldn't be my first choice but I'm sure that if we sign him he will be a good acquisition at whatever fee City end up paying for him.

They will slate him if he doesn’t score winner in euros but if he does say it’s meaningless
Nothing the guy does will be enough
Then next season they will be up his arse telling us he’s next striker in the world!

Likewise, say, stat padding against Russia and Finland, two of the worst sides in the tournament. Then missing from 18 inches when you finally play a decent side. Meaningless….
 
I like watching players nail elegant control and passing more than anything, but he's a centre forward and not a midfielder. Haaland looks unreal because he's quick and finishing instinctively... but people always like watching fast players, love flashy goals, and they aren't what are buying.

Anyway EH is already promised to Real or so I understand. That's probably why, when Chelsea spoke to Mino, he insisted on a clause that left Haaland free to leave for an affordable price if he wanted... not because it might not work out, but ...because he's off to Real next year.

Anyway. Kane's movement and awareness is lethal, and he has the right finishes at the right time more often than anyone else you care to mention. Technique looks tip top. He's also talking a lot on the pitch, reading the game, giving direction and instruction.

Sure fire hit. Sure as eggs are eggs. The only question would be if we sold Sterling, then we'd lack outright pace in the final third.

Mbappe would be an interesting prospect for sure. Daka is not yet going to comfortably outshine Jesus, which is what we need. Who else could we go for? Ancient Ronaldo? I'd say yes, just for shits and giggles. But that's about it. We need the top quality goalscorer, and someone who can lead a line and be disciplined. HK is that man, in spades.
