Harry Kane

Kane holds all the cards. If he states his head is not in the right place to play and believes he had an agreement to leave, Nuno will be left without a striker and no money to purchase one. His value will drop and Levy will want the deal done. All down to him now to force it through.

The biggest obstacle to this transfer seems to me that Levy/Spurs have no intention of selling Kane. There was talk recently that Spurs would let Kane go but I am not sure I believe this. Do they look like a club that is planning on life without Kane? This could go on for 12 months because I don't see an alternative for City, and City won the league title last season without a striker so there's no need for City to move on. If Levy wants to play the long game, let him, he will lose.

is it now? didn't we know kane *believes* he has a gentlemen's agreement for a while now?
Better to reiterate the reports, in what is seemingly an important week for his future, and that the narrative hasn't changed. It is good news, that's all.

Don't get this forum, post a source and 'we knew this!' post something like you know 'wheres the source pal' lol

Would rather we had Ings & Jesus up front this season and then went for Haaland next summer. Kane's going to be finished in 2/3 years because of his dodgy ankles and we're going to end up needing to spend another £100m to replace him. If we're going to spend stupid money on a striker I'd rather we spent it on someone who's 22 and has his whole career ahead of him rather than someone who's 28 and will likely be done before his contract expires.

I can't see him doing that and unfair to expect him to do so. Kane's future casts a giant shadow over their club. Let it hover there for a year if necessary. We can wait. We are the Champions. City can go again with this squad.

They have spoken directly to Kane to say he can leave.

Has been told to keep his head down and leave it to the negotiators.

He’s not going to win fuck all with England or spuds, stones probably showed him his collection of medals while on international duty to swing it

He holds some of the cards. As do City.

But so do Spurs, primarily in the form of 3 years remaining on his contract.

Kane is desperate to leave now. City really want to pull out all the stops for Guardiola. They could wait. But I don't think they're of a mind to.

So I'd say that the balance of power in this negotiation is fairly evenly poised.

I was more so laughing at simon stone for not presenting any new information.

If you expect Kane to go on striker then I think that's unfair. He wont do that. He might make it very clear to Spurs management that he feels let down but what else can he do but play?

We can play the long game if necessary. I dont see an alternative. If Spurs were serious about selling the player they would have done it imo. They will claim he has a price and he will go if City meet it but imo they know they can't replace him so this is a front only. They will gamble on keeping him for 12 months and hoping that somehow the battlefield changes. It's impossible to read as a fan so I am well aware that this is probably well off the mark

OK. Only just seen your comment. I'll accept that then. In that case I am bemused that Spurs are not more active in the transfer market but that is their look out.

They're in for Vlahovic at £50m aren't they? Presumed that was far along, might have misread
