Harry Kane

Was more for waiting for Harland but looking at his agents demands and wage demands I can’t see us going there

cheeky 60/70 mill bid in January for Kane ?

problem is that makes levy look a fool not selling for more last summer so can’t see that either tbf

That's the spirit mate
But it's the reality. We are on a steady fade in almost every aspect as a club. There seems to be little urgency or strategy to correct the current drift towards the rocks so we must accept that we will continue until Pep leaves and the team invariably breaks up. Between now and then it is not going to improve. Every aspect of the club from the men's team, to the women's team, to the club administration and supporters services and even the fan base itself appears in an perpetual malaise. I don't enjoy saying it and I don't enjoy watching it, but I am pragmatic enough to recognise it.

I think this is more a reflection of your outlook than the actually reality at the club.
The last four years have been exceptional and it was always going to be tough to maintain that, particularly as our rivals have got stronger.

If you look through the academies it looks like we have some wonderful talents coming through and we are still third in the league within striking distance of the top two clubs. It is disappointing we never managed to bag a striker but you only have to look at Uniteds scattergun transfer policy, which highlights its sometimes better not to buy a player, than have no plan how to implement a player into the first team.

Malaise and fade seems a bit extreme to describe the current Champions, Carabao cup winners and Champions lge finalists.

Steady fade, if you take away the premier league, carabao and CL final medals from less than 6mths ago. What has changed since then other than a couple shit results against Palace and Southampton because we went to Chelsea and turned them over and went to the dippers and dominated them as well outside of a freak in Salah giving them a chance.

Pep has a way of playing football and whilst it doesn't contain any "pace" we wipe the floor with most of our competition.
Leave the wanking over FIFA pace ratings to the rags, its going great for them so far.

Issues with the women team might be due to the 10 international players they are missing and the new coach.

As for club administration and supporters services, there are literally thousands at the ground home and away every week who have no issues.

I don't think he's playing well for England, but even if he were, I'd take a disappointing season followed by Haaland arriving on a 6 year deal rather than signing Kane for what would still be 100m+ in January to try and save it.
I would largely agree with that, the question is how realistic is the prospect of the giant Norwegian pulling on our sky blue shirt? Assuming that that ideal event never/is never going to be what would be our next best step? A discounted Kane would look more attractive albeit slightly concerning in terms of fitting into our system and maintaining his fitness and form.

He'll be manager of Spurs before striker anywhere else the way they are going.

Thats the very max we should offer. He’s damaged goods now

I still think the logic and realistic option is to go back in for Kane in January now levy can see he has made a mistake.

Kane has not turned into a bad player.

I see an unmotivated and disappointed person who can’t get over how badly his club treated him. Maybe he is making a point to levy…mainly fuck you!

realistic fee in January will see all parties happy. £75m with addons.

Nonsense.. with Kevs current patchy form… the last thing we need is another player on a mega long lucrative contract who is showing signs of decline. That ship has sailed. We need the to look forward. We should look at our age profile here.. we are not Real or Utd.

I think his legs have gone mate. They looked gone at the euros. Anyone only has so many miles on the clock and Kane looks immobile and any pace he had has disappeared. That’s not just an attitudinal thing.

He has. And I'm happy we avoided him. This things happen sometimes. It happened to Torres. It happened to Alexis and has happened many times.

Folks always think the player is downing tools. Sometimes the decline has just begun. He looked average at the Euros and looks average now.

Let's go young. Haaland or V

Pep made Kane his only forward choice over the summer. If you think that we invested all that time and left ourselves short of a number 9 this season for the Haaland dream then you are living in Lala land.

Kane was the only target. We will go back if the fee is lowered. He is doing a great job driving down his price.

Kev has got nothing to do with Kane. Also the overreaction to his demise is typical bluemoon nonsense.

Have we made a move for either player publicly? Your opinion and my opinion on Kane does not matter. City were going to offer him a 5 year deal 3 months ago. Grand delusions about an unproven forward playing in Italy and a superstar who will have his choice of clubs.

Kane in January is nailed on.

If you're right Levy will go into ultra uber Levy mode because he knows he's already 'lost' and will want to show the world he's ended up 'winning'. We'll sign him at 23.59 on 31st Jan and he won't be ready for first team duties till probably late February by which time he'll be cup tied for FA cup and champions league.

Levy had his chance and he blew it big time. I reckon Joe Lewis probably wants to throttle the fucker.

I don't see how they have treated him badly. Spurs had a valuation for him, yeah it was excessive but you always pay a premium for strikers, and considering how much Van Dijk and Grealish cost, the price was understandable. City put in an offer of much they valued him, Spurs didn't budge, and that was it. We have a value for Sterling, if Barcelona wanted to buy him, but weren't willing to meet it and we said no, would we be treating him badly? If there really was a "gentlemans agreement" Kane should have demanded that it be put in writing when he signed that 5 year deal. Everybody knows what Levy is like. I don't think his brother helped him, and it seems he thought he could have his cake and eat it, be Mr Spurs and at the same time have his dream move granted. Downing tools isn't going to help his cause and I wouldn't want someone like that at the club.
