Harry Kane

He has. And I'm happy we avoided him. This things happen sometimes. It happened to Torres. It happened to Alexis and has happened many times.

Folks always think the player is downing tools. Sometimes the decline has just begun. He looked average at the Euros and looks average now.

Let's go young. Haaland or V

We avoided him, and lets be honest we were lucky to avoid him. The club were willing to spend a fortune on his failing legs. 82 % of posters on here wanted to break the British transfer record for his services.
The 18% who didn't want him got pelters and quotes about his past. The evidence was clear at the Euros and even before for those that could see it.

Have we made a move for either player publicly? Your opinion and my opinion on Kane does not matter. City were going to offer him a 5 year deal 3 months ago. Grand delusions about an unproven forward playing in Italy and a superstar who will have his choice of clubs.

Kane in January is nailed on.

Publicly, there were were more solid claims that we went for Vlahovic than that we did for Kane. There was an actual bid claimed.

Re Kane there was a lot of speculation which was concluded to have to mean we had tried, but if you are comparing purely what was publicly available, we were in for vlahovic more than we were for Kane.

I am still in favour of bringing in Kane. He divides opinions and I can understand posters only want Haaland tbf Who wouldn’t?

City/Pep only had eyes for Kane in the summer. (openly courted him in a press conference.)

The player looks a shadow of himself and you cannot underestimate the effect a failed move could have on his mental health.

For me all signs point to Kane and it is a move I can see happening. So unless someone knows Information from the inner workings at the club, we will try to negotiate with levy in January in my humble opinion. If we can get him under the reported fee then the club will have played a blinder.

Happy Kane is far more dangerous than the powder puff players we are relying on now to score 1 in 15 chances.

If Conte takes the job, Kane & Son will be a great fit for his 352 system. As Lukaku & Martinez at Inter played it.

January is a great time to go for him as we could still turn out season around. He's out of form and lost favour with the fans so there'd be low expectations. People thinking we or any other english club can get Haaland are delusional.

Do we need him rn? yes.

If it anyway whatsoever puts the possibility of signing Haaland in the summer in doubt then stay tf away and crack on for the rest of this season as we are.

I still think the logic and realistic option is to go back in for Kane in January now levy can see he has made a mistake.

Kane has not turned into a bad player.

I see an unmotivated and disappointed person who can’t get over how badly his club treated him. Maybe he is making a point to levy…mainly fuck you!

realistic fee in January will see all parties happy. £75m with addons.
It looks like Kane has actually turned into a bad player. He hasn't had a good game against strong opposition for Spurs for years. He was poor last season, even before the transfer saga. The last thing we need at the moment is another slow striker. Our team is crying out for pace so we can break down Crystal Palace style teams. I just don't think Kane is the answer for us at this time.

Levy had his chance, he went back on his word and fucked over Kane and as, according to Pep, Levy wouldn't negotiate he can live with his mistake and fucking do one. I hope we never do business with him or that fucking club again.

Nah, the way things have worked out, i reckon we are all in for Haaland now.

Kane hasn't been setting the world on fire, but he's been forced to play in a stupid system that blunted both him and Son for a manager that no one wanted and for a club that, from his perspective, fucked him over. The very, very clear path for Spurs was get £120m for Kane, let Conte spend it, and go from there. Kane isn't a bad player, and he'd score lots and lots of goals in our system. People let hurt feelings and the last two games cloud their judgements sometimes.

can kane still come to manchester city in the winter window and make a big difference
it would be wrong of city to make that crazy offer again and i don't see anything like the £100million he should have been sold for in the summer. if city are very clever they could be in the driving seat and make a take it or leave offer of around £70million and still get haaland as well

spurs know they fucked up and kane does not want to be there ? kane makes spurs worst because he is coasting
if you like its very unprofessional of him to do that ? but i don't see how you can play without wanting to play

if the market opened and both was on the market right now haaland would be my first choice ? but if dortmund want to keep him until the summer. then city still buy him in the winter and loan him back then buy kane for £60/£70 million

Can we get the poll back up?

With this flurry of 'Kane would still score 40 in out team, lets still throw 120m at signing him when there are cheaper and better long term alternatives available' I'm really curious to see how it would look now.

I agree we should not waste our time with Levy. He treated us with contempt. He was a leading member of the group of clubs who wanted us thrown out of the CL and sent out a poison-pen letter to CAS. He followed that up by privately briefing the media that he "was refusing even to take our phone calls about Kane." A despicable classless individual.
These days City do not need to waste their time dealing with people like him. We have a track record of walking away from deals when people try to take the piss out of us. That is the right policy to adopt long-term even if it means we miss out on some of our transfer targets. Little old City is a thing of the past.

Conte will insist on funds in Jan, they'll need to sell Kane to fund........whether that's us remains the question.
