What a performance. Thank you to Alex McLeish and his staff at Birmingham because the change in Joe is immense. He has developed a presence (I know he's only played on game) but the work Birmingham have done with him deserves great credit. Thank You Brum!

completely different situations imo, when we bought hart there was no sign of any project or shit, and he needs to play now because of england and his age etc. , given is near the end of his illustrious career and we were starting to splash the cashe when he arrived , so he should have known his place wouldnt be guaranteed

Given was bought cus Hart was not good enough.
Hart did not want to stick around to fight for his place last season either.

Slight difference in that Hart has not been our number 1 for over 18 months whereas Given was talking about leaving and he hadn't even been benched for 1 match at that point. I don't think most people would expect Given to spend years sat on our bench but they would like him to fight for his place for more than 1 match! That said, I'd rather Hart hadn't said what he said either.

RM made a decision for the future, but I have a sneaky feeling that Given will get his first game of the season before the end of the week.
