Hart

Certainly not immune from criticism and his kicking (as it has been all season) was poor today. Not sure he could've done much with either goal today, but he didn't really exude confidence all afternoon. Still wouldn't swap him with any other keeper in the league, or probably the world, though.

His distribution via kicking was woeful, but contributed absolutely nothing to the general run of play, either positively or negatively. In fairness to Joe, he saw his entire defense and midfield getting the runaround all afternoon, so its not exactly going to make him ooze confidence.

TBH i've never been bothered about his distribution, I think we expected too much to be great at everything! But his shot stopping, claiming crosses, concentration and all round confidence has been well below his high standards this year!

I'm not sure how you can make that more than just a personal feeling tbh. He's back on track for the Golden Glove despite a rocky start of the season with our defense. Still is charging down strikers through on goal, and any team on the planet would trade their keeper for him. Even his perceived error at Sunderland was likely due to his being shocked that the foul wasn't called and momentary lack of concentration. Goal shouldn't have stood, so its only an error because the refs love to fuck us.

He was woeful today, kept punching when a confident Hart would of snatched the ball out of the air, was indecisive a couple of time too, could of cost us the match.

I wouldn't put any blame on him for either goal, but we've become used to him making these type of saves.

Joe Hart thinks he is better than he his...however Joe Hart is the best goalkeeper we have and England have....

There are better keepers out there...........

So if it came to dog eat dog he could be replaced, however we have about 10 players that need replacing before we get to Joe Hart.

I don't get this. Are fans actually mind-readers?

Distibution shocking,Commanding his box shocking.
Started to punch crosses.

I really like Joe but he needs to start getting back to basics. I think he needs some good competition to keep him on his toes.

Hart was all over the shop against Liverpool.

Three times he punched when he could have caught the ball.

Joe is a very good goalkeeper but his supposed prowess has taken on mythical-like status in this country, when he still has plenty to improve upon.

not sure how some people are blaming hart for gerrards goal, its was almost identical to his goal in the 5-1 v germany and from what i can remember khan got nowhere near that goal either.

None of Scmeichel, van der Saar, Buffon, Casillas, Seaman, Neuer have or had any real competition for their place in nets. I'd argue we have a better sub keeper than any of those did behind them. Panti is very good from what i've seen so far.

-- Mon Feb 04, 2013 11:51 am --

I've noticed Joe has been punching all season, not just in the last few games. That is a goalkeeping coaching decision, not a goalkeepers decision.
