Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

Can someone explain how Bob Vylan’s outburst was antisemitic?

It was directed at the IDF not Jews as a race. And as far as I am aware, that force includes Druze, Bedouin Arab, Christian Arab, and non-Bedouin Muslim Arab recruits.

The only thing I can think of is that saying ‘Death to the IDF’ might be construed as potentially provoking an animus against Jews in general, but am happy to be corrected on this and what I have posted here.

But, but, but, but......Gary Lineker.

This has always been the tactic. Put all of the focus on comedy shows and light entertainers, while all of the upper management, news and current affairs and board roles are utterly dominated by conservative (large and small C), establishment voices.
They're betraying the British public. Blatantly. Blatant Betrayal Corporation.

Left? Clueless twat.
If it was right Lineker would've been sacked off ages ago, the ' comedy ' shows like have i got news for you would be taking the piss out of everything Labour. The fact is Lineker was given a platform to attack the right at any given opportunity, and hignfy hammer the tories/reform every week, Labour get off scott free. And I'm not sticking up for the tories I'm stating that that organisation is heavily left leading

The BBC is part of our establishment and overwhelmingly our establishment is, to varying degrees, “progressive” and left-leaning - it’s wider than party politics. As is Sky (Comcast) and Channel 4. By way of illustration, it’s recently commissioned its own internal studies about how to reach Reform voters. It doesn’t really affect me either way, as I tend to ignore the BBC in terms of politics and social commentary - and I’m proud to say I haven’t watched anything from “Glasto” for years. As someone who broadly favours minimum constraints on free speech, I do find the pearl-clutching about Bob Vylan and “Kneecap” to be over the top.

It used to be liberal, but Rothermere and Murdoch frightened the shit out of the BBC, hence the recent swing to the right (Farage constantly on QT, and Lineker eased out of MOTD).

I think people give the 'establishment' and the BBC too much credit.

What we're really seeing is just more shear incompetence at the highest level. It's like those who seriously believe conspiracy theories such as governmental control of the media etc.

These people just aren't that clever despite their nonsensical and undeserved salaries. Even in government politicians spend most of their day just trying not to cock up and they can't even do that.

exactly - it is sheer incompetence at the top level. Imagine being the controller with a number of "high risk" acts being on live having patchy mobile coverage ( my lad was there last weekend and he could confirm ) and leaving it to editors who had no delay/ delete button to act whilst YOU ARE THERE BOPPING AWAY!! The week before Davie was racing a horse

Ha ha ha, the BBC is as left as it comes
The left dispise the BBC for being Tory.
The right dispise the BBC for being left wing.
This tell me they are about right.

That said this thread is hilarious to show the left's view of the BBC. So much so, that, If ever I need cheering up I visit this thread, have a good laugh and the world isn't so bad anymore.

I sway predominantly left, I’ve repeatedly made the same point as you have.

For 3 days now the 2 uppermost headlines have been the Texas flood story. Now while obviously tragic I can't help feeling that the BBC are avoiding some more newsworthy stories globally.
It also seems to me that there are far too many stories about the US and US sport than we need to know.
