I was on the opening of match of the day for half a season with my mate Jimmy O’Dea. We were leaning over the dugout that Billy McNeil was in. It’s never been the same since lol. There was a time when I was a lad when MOTD was the highlight of the weekend, not any more……never watch now
On that basis I'm guessing there were incidents missing from every game.Sadly, I got my stopwatch out and worked out that, taking out the 3 replays of the incidents and pointless close-ups of the goal celebration and managers faces we got seventy-six (good year) seconds of Palace v City action. Never mind the analysis and interviews, it's the video replays that eat up the time.
Before you ask, there was seventy-one seconds of actual Everton v Brentford football on show.
Seen quite a few of the older, miserable sort across the internet pretending the show was better last night.
Why the fuck would anyone wait around until 22:30 to watch some brief highlights? They're on YouTube about 15 mins after full time.
In fact, why are you staying up until then to watch MOTD any other week if you find the presenters so insufferable?
Hurt when you banged the top of that.
My old fella has never used YouTube in his life & watches TV & told me he enjoyed it.
Before you jump to conclusions he didn’t vote for brexit, he’s pro immigration but was born in 1940 & can tell the difference between a snide Tory **** & the most murderous evil rhetoric of the 20th century.
I'd just got back from 5 pints of Track in Mytholmroyd; it was all I was up to doing !An exciting Saturday for you
