Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

Again sensationalism.

Yes there was a genocide in Rwanada, which was terrible. However the country has moved on from there rocketing up the Human Development Index. There was a genocide in Turkey in the lifetime of people who will be reading this board - would you not go there on holiday?

The Madagascar plan and the current suggested Tory policy are wholly different and to suggest deporting a native, german population and trying to prevent people risking their lives to cross the channel is frankly ridiculous.

You make it sound like a minor faux pas.

How could he have made it better?

In my view he said exactly the same thing, and what he said was what he intended to say. It was clear as day, not weasely or unclear, and people can interpret *anything* in a hundred different ways and don’t necessarily have to agree so he’s always going to get some backlash

But backlash gets treated as controversy, which it isn’t.

He didn’t need to bring 1930s Germany into it. The Nazis did the most evil things known & if he can’t get his point over better then thats why he’s been pulled. In my opinion he’s right to call out dehumanisation of migrants but ffs Nazis really.

The native German Jewish population was around 5% of the Jews in Europe in the 1930s. 95% were from elsewhere and were included in the Nazi’s plan.

It’s bloody awful without commentary
It's more akin to a 'live' match, that no matter what the broadcasting companies conjure up for the viewers delectation doesn't come anywhere near the real thing. Who advertises that 'it's only live once'? I would add that it's only live in one place, and that's not the tv or radio studio.

I despair when my licence fee pays for the likes of Danny Muppet, Lineker, Shearer, Dublin, et al, and in the same week we see Ken Bruce kicked into touch. I don't expect the BBC to tailor it's output to my foibles and vagaries, but occasionally I would like to tune in to something that I find watchable and listenable. Not asking too much.

I‘m sure if you dig around a bit, you will find something.

It says in the bbc guidelines that sports and entertainment staff have a wider scope to talk on these things in public
It would be really interesting to see his actual contract. I think if he’d left out the analogies to Nazi Germany and just kept his counsel for a day or two it would have just blown by as his stance on migration etc is well known - but he chose to force the issue and bring matters to a head.

Ken Bruce decision to move to another Station , BBC served him well for years and years.

Linekar, Shearer , Wright etc are all legends of the game and excellent characters to analyse the game. Sure there’s a few some like, some don’t , same for any sports analysis.

BBC has such a wide variety of channels, radio stations, online services that it’s pretty strange there’s nothing for you to like.
Personally love 5live, Radio 2, BBC live sport and so many dramas they’ve produced in recent years.

How is the

How is taking a hard line on boat crossings making the UK and unwelcoming place? This a country that had 1.1m immigrants in year ending June 2022. Just to put it into perspective France (similar population) welcomed only 320k.

The UK has a problem with illegal immigration and in 2017 (as per PEW research) had roughly a quarter of the total illegal immigrants in the whole of the EU. The government is trying to deal with it but whatever they do they will get abuse.

Its like the farce of the likes of David Lammy complaining about the deportation flights to Jamaica. So we reach a crazy situation that the Home Secretary would risk being criticized for breaking the law if he/she didnt deport the criminals as they are required to do under the UK Borders Act. But instead gets criticised for following the law by the likes of Lammy who was a member of the Labour Government who brought in the law and actually voted for it to be enacted! I mean damned if you do damned if you dont.

Then we have Lineker who has a contract with a body that requires its staff to be impartial outrageously making comparisons to a regime that murdered circa 6 million people with sending people to Rwanda, and people have the audacity to suggest the BBC is a tool of the Tory's.....this incidentally an organization which traditionally advertised its vacancies in that bastion of the right the Guardian newspaper.

Your gonna need to provide some links here to back up your numbers as they seem like pure fiction or some sort of false equivalency.
