how does it show a lack of ambition, when hughes was our manager and tevez signed we werent saying that showed a lack of ambition we were saying it showed ambition that hes joining a project. Chelsea are gonna have a huge investment in there own project to try and turn around there fortunes- you could say he has ambition for trying to get chelsea back to there best

Absolutey spot on. They've had one off season in the league yet still won two cups and people are deeming them as non-challengers. Chelsea are still a top team.

Haughtiness is an unattractive quality.
They are a top team, but they were still 25 points behind us in the League.

And there are 2 explanations for the deal falling through in the media
1) Agent's fee of £4.8m
2) Players wish to play regularly

If this is right, it's good that we feel able to stand our ground. We will be stronger for this and it ensures players come here for the right reasons

maybe they were but you can blame that on a whole host of reasons, managerial crisis being one of them, this is one season where chelsea havent been up there. One explanation of him not coming here is that he want to go to chelsea at the end of the day and did

It would not be suprised me that Guardiola is the Chelsea manager for the new season - he wants a few months off/ sebatical but the real reason for him leaving Barcelona was the fact of keeping up their new standards of success was too much for him to take, Cruyff advised him only to do 3 years, Guardiola needed to dismantle the squad to bring in new players for them to advance i.e Alves etc.. He felt that was the job of a new manager!

What happens though if Hazard does not get along with his new manager?? Abramovichs biggest downfall is doing all the signings of players and practically trying to manage the team himself.

Unless he consulted with Guardiola first. It is a gamble though, another high pressured job for him.

If Chelsea get backup there then better themchallenging us than the rags. Would love to see the rags trying to fight off teams for 4th spot.

Chelsea showed this season it only takes an iffy run to miss top 4.

Personally i still think Chelsea have a bit more to do - They need a full back possibly 2 forwards. Terry is aging, Cahill is average etc

Hazard has been good but it took henry, Drogba, Silva etc over aseason to adapt and he's going to want to be playing no matter what.

We'll see what happens but i still think week in week out we'llbe stronger

Chelsea will be a threat next season but losing Drogba is a massive hole to fill he won them those 2 trophies single handedly! It's looks like they going the passing route not hoof it to Drogba next season

I think we have enough to cope without Hazard, whilst both Rags and Chelsea need him. Rags more so than anyone.

The crucial difference is, Chelsea are now stronger but were well short last year, whilst United who pushed us right to the finish, would have benefited hugely from a player like Hazard. And been a much more considerable threat to us than Chelsea as a result.

I'm as pleased that he hasn't gone to Stretford, as disappointed he's not with us as a squad player.

Not heard about those explanations but I agree wholeheartedley. Perhaps two years ago we would have caved in to those demands, but we are in a strong position now. I'm sure that money will no longer be the key factor in tempting players to the club. If they don't want to join, so be it. I still hold respect for Chelsea who have been there and done it and still have that pulling power for top players. Like someone else said earlier, they are offering top wages to live in a top area of the capital of the UK. Any footballer will find that an attractive proposition. And they'll be back challenging for sure.

But, I'll certainly back Bobby 100% in whoever he decides to bring in next.

But Utd will likely sign Kagawa. They are bound to strengthen their midfield. If they lose 1 target like us they will have others
