Absolutey spot on. They've had one off season in the league yet still won two cups and people are deeming them as non-challengers. Chelsea are still a top team.

Haughtiness is an unattractive quality.
They are a top team, but they were still 25 points behind us in the League.

And there are 2 explanations for the deal falling through in the media
1) Agent's fee of £4.8m
2) Players wish to play regularly

If this is right, it's good that we feel able to stand our ground. We will be stronger for this and it ensures players come here for the right reasons

Exactly this and spot on

There was not a snowball in Hells chance that City would have agreed to these demands.

Surprised we let it run it's course though!

If Chelsea get backup there then better themchallenging us than the rags. Would love to see the rags trying to fight off teams for 4th spot.

Chelsea showed this season it only takes an iffy run to miss top 4.

Personally i still think Chelsea have a bit more to do - They need a full back possibly 2 forwards. Terry is aging, Cahill is average etc

Hazard has been good but it took henry, Drogba, Silva etc over aseason to adapt and he's going to want to be playing no matter what.

We'll see what happens but i still think week in week out we'llbe stronger

tbf cahill has looked great since he joined them

ABU. Rather a War Crimes XI won the league than the scum.

As for Hazard, I wonder if our club has done any of the groundwork on alternative deals, the newspapers do not seem to know who we're after instead of Hazard now.

Hmmm, underwhelmed by that.

Yeah he had a good season, but it's the first season where he hasn't been injury prone and he's 29.

Plus I doubt he'll come to us, a couple of decent signings by Arsenal and I can see him staying. So it could be a lot of wasted time on him.

Cavani is who I would want, but maybe this is too championship manager of me.

Nothing to do with Champ Manager fella, Cavani is very much on our radar but it's got a lot to do with movement in the market our end.
Do you think Spurs cab be persuaded to sell Bale. Think he'd have to request a transfer to make that happen, and if Bale left, would Adebayor still want to join them?

Spurs must have alternatives to Adebayor?

It was always going to come down to this and whoever missed out on Champs League footy would become weaker whilst Chelsea become stronger etc...

Spuds have a problem and Levy knows it, aswell as hearing Redknapp might get the axe during the summer i'm also hearing:

Bale wants out
Modric wants out
Defoe wants out

To answer your question i think Levy knows he has to lose Bale to help finance and rebuild for next season, it's going to be even harder to get the top 4 next season and they need to generate cash to challenge.

btw I thought hazard was definitly coming to city accordin to people on here, what a waste of time this all was, my balls hurt now :(

It is good that it has been settled so early, the Sanchez one last year ran for the whole of the window and left us little time to find an alternative.
