@BarconNot sure what I have but in the last week or so I have woke up three times choking on stomach acid.
From looking around on the internet it sounds like acid reflux.
When it happens I wake up feeling like I am drowning, then it starts to burn.
I then spend the next few hours trying to cough stuff up off my chest.
This sounds like how I started, do you have a persistent cough in the morning for no apparent reason?
It might be a Hiatus Hernia. Everyone has stomach acid to digest food. You have a flap that allows food down your throat but stops the acid going up. H.H. is when the flap stays open and so, because, at night you are lying down, the acid goes up your throat, hence the drowning. As it's acid it burns your throat so you cough. This is why I'm on omeprazole, it dilutes the acid but somehow I still digest food.
$75 dollars please pay the receptionist on your way out. Next.
