There's a very nice lumber yard in West Reading. I get my Sapele from there. From what I've heard, there's not much to do in Reading.
Very nice indeed. Love the paintwork. Those kits are how I got back into the hobby about fours ago, it’s a smashing way to get stress levels down. It’s amazing how with a bit of patience you can improve. Just finished this, it’s a Tamiya kit so the fit is a dream. Think the kit cost me £15 or so, build took about 4 weeks on and off, just about another 200 kits in the stash to go at!

Soaked a whole bunch of different beans last night. This morning sweated off the holy trinity, added garlic and some cajun seasoning. Threw a big hambone in with quite a bit of meat still on, added the beans, some home canned tomatoes, a bunch of some really spicy stock I made out of crawfish back in the summer, couple of bay leaves, water to cover. I'll let that cook for about 5-6 hrs then add some more diced ham, hot sausage meat and maybe some small shrimp.Cooking, its the most therapeutic thing in the world
