Hobbies for the middle aged man

Study something quite challenging such as quantum theory, philosophy, or Chaucer.
Will keep the brain agile which is half the battle.
 
Some pretty cool lego sets for adults.
Might be a bit geeky but it's what I envisage myself doing when I retire in 30 years.
 
Recommendations would be most helpful..things to do inside?

And no weird shit!
Cycling.. great for losing the timber and for improving your mental health (out in the fresh air and not looking at social media for a couple of hours)

Recumbents have made cycling a pleasure for me with zero of the aches and pains that a diamond framed bike used to cause
