DId you even watch the match.
@avoidconfusion He called for contrived fouls on several chances in the box, just as one of our players was about to make contact with the ball in promising positions. He required a quick throw to be retaken (that would have sent Sane clear into penalty area for a nailed on change on goal) for no discernible reason. He waived away what was—to most of us, anyway—a stonewall penalty for us (Sane running in, knocking the ball past their keeper, and the keeper catching his leg on the slide). He allowed some very rough challenges on our players in good positions, and generally only gave us fouls when they were in less promising positions (which football stattos with conspiratorial persuasions call metrics-padding to make it seem like the official was impartial).
He did give us a bit of a let off when only booking Kyle for a bad tackle in the second half, when he could have easily sent him off. By then, though, he may have chosen not to do it so as to cover previous suspect decisions a bit. We will never know.
He was generally either incompetent or corrupt (or both), though.
