lots of optimism on this thread. I like it. Of course the idea that you can operate an aircraft with 2m spacing and make any money is fucking ridiculous. But I like the optimism.

Depends on the pricing I guess.

Not that I think it would be 2m spacing but some kind of distancing and probably face masks/temperature checks at the very least.

EasyJet have released their flights for Easter next year. Anyone who has flights cancelled can legally move to these dates for free no matter what was originally paid.

Clearly desperate to get money in to pay refunds out! The fares were cheap too when they first released them. Canaries for under £100 and algarve for less than £50. I am not booking anything until it’s all over and safe again. Will just holiday in the UK if needs be. If this virus is still around next year I can’t see insurance companies covering if need to be hospitalised.

Still going to take ages for anyone to get money back, latest story I have just read, even credit card payments refunds being withheld.

Best £400 I've ever spent for fuck all

If you are still waiting for an easyjet refund, I'd urge you to maybe submit one again or phone up.

I submitted a refund successfully (had a confirmation etc) back in mid-March. Hadn't received a penny by early April so submitted a further request through their online portal.

43 days on I've still not received a penny so thought I'd phone up. Amazingly got through to somebody who wasn't the best of help. She denied that easyjet had received my request for a refund which is complete BS as I have the confirmation from March. The woman submitted a request for me over the phone and said I have to wait up to a further 30 days to receive the refund. I can wait a further 30 days, I was most annoyed at the fact they lied about not receiving a request for refund.

Appreciate they are swamped and in the middle of a pandemic but they are absolute cowboys keeping hold of customers' money. No question that some slimeball in a suit has told staff to avoid issuing refunds and to make excuses. It's a 5 second transaction to issue a refund.

Cancelled mine list £120 deposit , the balance was due next week, I couldn’t see me getting a refund regardless of the laws of the land , best outcome would have been a voucher or move the holiday to next year but the chances of holiday companies not going bust seem remote .

That’s when your insurance would come in but you would have to have taken that out before 13 March

Talking of insurance, I have had an annual policy for the last couple of years after getting FOC status. It wasn't a bad deal but I've just had a reminder that it will need renewing next month. I shan't be bothering 'cos it's unlikely I'll be leaving the country for the next twelve months, but also because the thieving bastards have jacked up the price by a whopping 49%. That's the same as a £500 ST for this season going up to £745 next! Where's the justification for that?

Season ticket prices out yet ?

We have a holiday home in Norfolk both retired will spend most of our time when it opens up again, also 4 visits per year to Santa Pola Spain.

O'Leary reckons they will be flying this summer early July probably. He said they will be discounting flights and hotels will be doing the same to get people travelling again.

If there are a load of cheap flights I will be having some of that.

Has the virus put anyone off going anywhere this year or are there many like myself will be off like a shot as soon as it is deemed relatively safe to do so?

I should have been in Bosnia now so want to get out to that neck of the woods soon. Problem is it will be fucking hot in July/August but as it is likely to piss down here all summer roasting in the Balkans is probably the lesser evil.

The ST prices for next season will reflect the loss of matchday revenue for the rest of this season. CBL3 Platinum will be coming in at £7500, Bovril will be on sale on the CB concourses at £25 for a 15ml thimble and a meat and potato pie the size of a small button will be £45. Beer prices are being frozen but will be watered down with the addition of 99% spring water.

Certainly put me off going anywhere. The thought of being couped up in a plane for a few hours makes me recoil in horror. I have no idea of the science relating to the chances of contracting such a virus on a plane but my instincts are to give this mode of travel a swerve.

Honestly cannot predict what I will think about it next year, even if a vaccine has been developed.

With the filters they have onboard you would have much less chance of catching it than on a bus or the tube. As you are in London do you use the tube? buses? How do you feel about using them?
