Holidays

I’d love to be going away this year but the wife is still recovering from her brain injury and we will wait till next year just lucky that we are able to think about a holiday never mind go on one ..
Is it feasible to have a seaside UK break?

When Mrs Moon was weak & recovering from her Stem Cell transplant it did her the world of good once she was in a fit state to travel.

Hope all turns out ok for you both.

Lucky you,whereabouts are you staying.
The Med bar overlooking Valtos Beach is a really decent restaurant.
Loads of places to eat on the front in Parga Town, spoilt for choice and not overpriced.
The beach there gets rammed but we used it a few times because we liked to swim to the little island with the church on it.
Valtos beach is bigger and you can get a boat taxi for a couple of quid each.
Marco Polo boat tour to Paxos and the Blue caves is a must!
A trip up the Acheron River was great too but you need to be fairly fit if you want to go any distance.
We've booked again for next year and staying at Bianco resort.
Have a great time!
Thank you for your reply and recommendations. We are staying at the Zozefina Apartments, apparently a downhill walk of about 10 mins to the town. Really looking forward to this holiday. Sounds like a good choice by Mrs Indeedy :)

Best antidote for post holiday blues is to start planning for next year.
Mrs PJ and myself continue our policy of a new country every year.
Has anyone been to Slovenia ?
It is absolute heaven if you are a fly fisherman. I have friends that go regularly and rave about it - the scenery is spectacular and people brilliant.
And their rivers are full of big brown, rainbow and marble trout and grayling :-)

Looking at our annual trip to Nice in September and thinking of getting train to Menton to stay a few nights (maybe venture into Italy for a day) for something different. Anyone been to Menton
Worth a visit during the lemon festival otherwise a boring place.
Much prefer some of the of the smaller places on the line like Villefranche sur Mer or Beaulieu sur Mer, where you can do the David Niven walk to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Currently in Madeira for the week and it’s cloudy as fuck but my god it’s nice to be away. First time abroad for 2 years and I’ve missed it. Hopefully the sun comes out soon.
