Off to portimao in Portugal tomorrow, last minute half term idea, has anyone any tips? anywhere to watch the match??
I know not everyone can afford J class. This is where it may be worth using one of the middle East carriers who usually offer the chance to stop off for a couple of nights en-route. Especially on the way back, you can do, say, Tokyo-Dubai stay 2 nights then another 7 hours back to the UK. That way the flights are broken up and the jet lag is absorbed into 2 chunks as well. And worth every penny. Japan is fucking amazing.
The flight home and jetlag are something else though
A lot of bars in priaia da rocha will have the game on. 5 mins in a taxiOff to portimao in Portugal tomorrow, last minute half term idea, has anyone any tips? anywhere to watch the match??

With the rags , chelsea and liverpool all on tv at the same time, it might not be that easy.A lot of bars in priaia da rocha will have the game on. 5 mins in a taxi
Yep will make sure they awake before I go!!Don't leave the kids asleep whilst you go for tapas and drinks with the couple you're currently swinging with.
The important thing about my strategy of a layover in the middle East is that it splits both the flights and the jet lag into 2 equally manageable chunks. A few years ago we went to Thailand via Doha in J class. It actually didn't work for us as we like to get some sleep and not eat or drink excessively on a flight. 2 x 6 hour flights with associated food and drink on both flights meant we arrived having had little sleep and refusing the service we had paid for. If we were going to Oz or NZ that wouldn't be too much of a factor as there is one leg that is considerably longer so allowing the rest period. This is great advice. I won't be doing Paris to Tokyo in one stop ever again and certainly not in economy. Even just premium economy would have saved my back and legs from being absolutely wrecked after a 15 hour flight. There was a lay over in Singapore option which I wish I had taken. Didn't help the airline was Air France which is grim enough just doing Manchester to Paris!
Don't forget to wear your Bruno shirt.Off to portimao in Portugal tomorrow, last minute half term idea, has anyone any tips? anywhere to watch the match??

You'd want to know the bar owner fairly well to get him to show our match while rags and dippers are on.Yeah in a bar
Would you recommend Bideford for a holiday mate ?We hired a cottage about 4 miles outside Bideford a few years ago.
Absolutely loved it! Appledore, Westward Ho!, Saunton, just a few of many great days out!
Enjoy!
Lovely place. We went in September and the weather was great. Town gets really busy during the day with the cruise ships.Any tips/vews on Dubrovnik in September/October?
Not Bideford itself, but you only have to travel 10 minutes or so out of the town for some great locations.Would you recommend Bideford for a holiday mate ?
