Just back last week. 3rd time and booked again for next year. Lovely place. We stayed at the 'bottom end' near the Paradise Bar. Always a great night night in there. Lots of great little restaurants too. Our hotel was charging €6 for large Mythos which I thought was a bit steep. €4.5/€5 most places.

Our next one is in Teguise for 10 days in the middle of November.
To be honest I do prefer Greece (find Canaries a bit to much manicured) but not at that time of the year and we've struggled to find proper Greece the last few times we've been there.

Me and the lad went last September stayed opposite Popeyes on that dodgy junction
With the Mrs this time staying at The Princess Hotel near Paradise (last time we were both in Zante was 1994 in Laganas)
It’s got a great buzz but not silly
(We like Skala in Kefalonia we were there in July it’s a bit quieter than Tsilivi)
The lad who owns the olive tree restaurant nearby is Greek but a season ticket holder at city as he’s married a Manchester girl so his father in law has corrupted him
It’s a bit steep as is most of Greece nowadays but it’s my/our summer destination of choice now pushing the canaries to winter
We do PDC think it’s approaching 30 visits now !
Rediscovering Greece in 2020 as it was one of the few places open was major plus point of covid for us.Since then

I have been to Skala a couple of times would have been mid 2000's and it was nice but a bit pricey for us at the time, also done Corfu & Zante amongst probably another 10+ islands. We preferred Kos & bits of Rhodes the most. Our last trip was to Male on Crete and apart from a super restaurant we found it was very meh.

Recently back from a mini-road trip in the USA. Started off in Philadelphia staying with a City-supporting friend and former colleague. Then spent 5 days driving across Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia (amazing scenery) and Ohio to see my son in Cleveland.
Stopped off at Valley Forge, which was George Washington had his HQ in the War of Independence, the Fort Necessity battlefield where he was defeated by French forces in 1754 and which led to the Seven Years War. Stopped in Dayton, which is the site of the National Museum of the USAF. This is supposed to be the biggest aircraft museum in the world and it's vast. I spent the whole day there then had to go back the next day. It's absolutely amazing. Dayton was also the home of the Wright brothers and there's a (much smaller) museum dedicated to them, including the cycle shop they ran.
Just up the road from Dayton, in Wapakoneta, is the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum. Then onto Cleveland, where I visited the Tremont district, where the wedding scenes of The Deerhunter were filmed, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Lake View Cemetery, where Eliot Ness, Alan Freed and J D Rockefeller are buried.
Didn't realise how much there was to see in Ohio and can't wait to go back.

It was really good .. amazing place.
Covers all bases loads of museums and sights in the old town and depending when you go nice beaches

I really enjoyed it. The only thing that pissed me off a bit was that they had a section called 'London/Liverpool' but it had a number of Manchester bands in it. There was a fantastic film showing concert footage from some of the inductions, plus I saw a guest list from The Beatles' first US tour that had a friend's uncle on it (he'd arranged and managed that tour). And it was great to share some of the history with my son.
You're in Boston iirc aren't you? Passed through Logan en route to Philly.

4 out of the 7 days was fabulous weather so did there and Solidarity and Maritime etc on the rainier days.
We were staying between Gdansk and Sopot. 15 mins by uber 40 on a tram
Went a few years ago with the wife and two young children , did a one on one ww2 tour for the day whilst they went to the water park.
Very interesting and a great experience if you’re into that sort of thing .

If you get back there, look for it. (Right in the centre) live bands in most weekends. 50 year anniversary this year, Socs was good mates with David Gilmour who had a house in the village and often went in.
Sadly he died several years ago, but his two sons now run it.
Yes, the greek national football museum is a must visit.
