The water taxi is great for dropping you at the different beaches. For us, skiathos town was lovely.
There are amazing beaches along the island but little in the way of resorts.
Wherever you stay though the bus service is brilliant
Im going to Lanzarote at the end of the month from Belfast...there will be a mix of British and Irish passports...will be interesting to see how that goes :-/I fly to Lanzarote on Monday, finger crossed they've got the new system under control now.

Great, we fly on a Saturday :-)Fingers crossed for you.
Apparently Thursday and Sunday aren't good it's busy then.
Did that tooThe water taxi is great for dropping you at the different beaches.
Did that too
Skiathos is lovely, no doubt
But i do like a little resort, maybe 3/4 bars, 4/5 restaurants, and skiathos doesnt have that
Stoupa on the Peloponnese is my utter favourite
Done ferry from Hull 5 or 6 times (wife has a fear of flying). We upgrade cabin on board and treat it like first night of holiday. We park at the port and go on foot. Coach transfer into Amsterdam all bookable when you book ferry with P & O. We stay in Amsterdam and just use it as a base. Amsterdam is what it is, bit expensive plenty to see just depends what you're looking for. We've done all that. We get a 3 or 4 day regional travel pass and travel about. Recently we've done Marken then ferry to Volendam which we love. Haarlem and Edam are both worth a trip out. Going in 3 weeks and looking to do Naarden (which looks stunning) and Muiden with its castle. Go for it.Anyone been to Amsterdam ? Would you recommend it ?
Also thinking of going via the ferry, any tips ?

I think you can normally search for historic weather data to get a decent idea, but i wouldnt expect it to be sunbathing weatherAdvice needed from you travel experts.
What’s the weather like first week of November in Majorca generally.
I see that you're saving the best until last ;-)Currently in Vienna, like it a lot. Not too touristy, amazing buildings, £5/pint in most places and very easy to get around on the trams. Pleasant weather too.
Went to the Albertina gallery yesterday and saw works by a huge amount of great artists, all under one roof. Did a couple of bars (well quie a few actually) and went to the Hundertwasser gallery/museum today which was excellent.
Walked through the fairground, went on the tallest ride for a great view of the city.
The place is in full Eurovision mode too, and I love the promotional signs/banners which read "Vienna, 12 points".
Going to Bratislava tomorrow, which I know is nothing like VIenna, but it's another country, another city, and under £40 on the train for the two of us.
Asked for a table at a cafe earlier, and the chap thought I was German. I only speak a very small amount, but I was well impressed :-)
Prague on Tuesday for three nights (that's only £60 on the train for two of us).
We don't do beaches, but we do like seeing a few cities, relaxed drinkins and dining, and just wandering around.
thats a great deal! Holiday planning is exciting but also strangely stressful sometimes. Prices, flights, hotels — there’s always something to organize. I recently had to deal with the Interval International phone number while sorting travel details and honestly it took longer than expected. Still, getting away for a while is always worth it in the end. Even short trips help recharge mentally. Hope everyone here has some good travel plans coming up.We booked train & hotel as a package - iro £650
Now for the biggie ;-)That's Bratislava done. A very pleasant six hours. Better than I expected too.
