Holistic approach

Man management and a willingness to work hand in hand with the club. Not a yes-man but if it suits some feeble minds, feel free to simplify it that way. OR open your mind and have a look around Europe at some of the very best run clubs utilizing the model we now seek to.

All the outrage at the club without knowing all the details... some of you become fanboys of a manager rather than supporters of the club.

Very well put Sir.

Absolutely.

Getting the best out of your players, by talking to them & improving them rather than alienating them & badgering the club into buying new ones for huge amounts of money, when you chose many of those players in the first place, could be another part of the 'whole'.

Going by the club statement then that surely rules out Mourinho and his circus.

I've read one post tonight (it's on last page of part 5 breakingnews thread) bashing Spanish duo with words "management is about getting the best of what you have and not sacking the shit out of it"

I almost choked from irony.

Yeah, because Mancini is the kind of bloke they could talk round into changing his methods to suit the kind of club they (& the owner) obviously envisage.

He really does come accross as an open minded, adaptable kind of bloke, & not at all set in his ways.

Saying a D.O.F. is bound to fail in England is to assume that the english way is superior and should be kept at all costs
The english clubs and national team are falling further and further behind the continental teams, in terms of tactics and most importantly youth development. Better to copy success than plough on with a broken strategy just because "it wont work here"
Possibly due to our "island mentality" the resistance to change is deeply embedded in our culture, must be frustrating to our owners and the two amigos, though the two are veterans of dealing with the enemies of change.
The revolution has begun, it could be the start of something wonderful, with the fans being dragged kicking and screaming in to the promised land. Well not all of them, some of us have seen the light, even though the sound of pitchforks being sharpened gets louder by the day.

it appears because our owners have spent billions on the club the supporters cannot challenge any decision they make , being called "drama queens" etc , because true supporters believe the club has made the wrong decision , apparently this is not acceptable . Well fuck that , Mancini has been unfairly treated considering the contribution he made , thats my opinion , and looking at the bluemoon poll , I believe the opinion of the majority of match going supporters. It doesn't lessen the feelings I have for the club or makes me disloyal , just disappointed , because Mancini is a very very good manager , I hope we don't live to regret the decision by the Spanish inquisition.

I respect your view-point however, I think this has more to it then just performances on the pitch there must be something or things in the background that we don't know yet. things must be really bad for the club to decide to get rid ASAP in this manor.

PS: he wasn't doing the job for free now was he?

Fucking "Holistic approach"!!!

Absolute fucking disgrace. "Holistic approach" translated means Txiki picks the formations, the players and the manager.

Mancini refused to be his puppet and got the bullet. Now enter some sap, probably "people's person" Pelligrini who puts out the cones and is called a head coach.

Absolutely disgusted at the club.
Calm down. Here's your answer

Roberto Mancini: Management style cost him job - Mills

I think many are missing the real meaning of holistic approach as it applies to City/Mancini.

In short; Mancini wasn't saying/doing the things that the (OWNER) believes are in the best interest of the whole(Club).

Having a go at Nasri via the media is not in the best interest of the club.

Criticizing the clubs transfer activity via the media is not in the best interest of the club.

Etc. etc. etc.

Bobbi is a strong willed man and it's obvious he's fairly set in his ways. If those ways aren't the ways of the owner, you're in trouble. That's the same in any company.

Now, if he'd won a trophy and progressed in Europe the owner may have given him some slack, but not reaching any target and being difficult to work with means the owner had little choice.

Does it also mean Bobbi refused to tow the line on other internal policies ? May be. But we at BM will just have to speculate on those (Youth/Formation/Manager/Coach/DoF)as we may never find out unless Bobbi makes them public, as the owners will definitely not.

Long/Short; Bobbi was just an employee that brought some success to the club(For which everyone is thankful) but isn't the type of man the owners want. When this happens in any business the result is almost always the same. Something has to change and it's normally the employee, not the owners objectives.

What does this 'holistic approach' mean?
We are City, not Barca, what I expect from City is City's style, not that spanish club style
If we become Barca 2.0, then we are destined to be slaughted by those Germans in the CL?

Lol.

Yeah because that's all Barca have done in the last 5 years.
