Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

I’ve perused a few hooligan books in Airport Departure Lounges, and I’m probably not the only one who immediately searches for the incidents involving City

Birmingham reference the 82-83 goalless draw at Maine Road, which apparently provided the Zulu nickname (and it makes sense if you remember that the violence after their 2007-08 defeat at the ETIHAD was also their 25th anniversary, and the main reason why so many of their old “boys” were out in force that day)

Leeds cite an ambush after their 3-2 victory at Maine Road in November 1977 as their main motivation for the revenge attacks at the FA Cup the following January.

West Ham claim to thave thrown Daft Donald through a Wimpey window,(which sounds feasible), but all their books seem to admire City, especially WANT SOME AGGRO which chronicles the late 60s and early 70s
Always thought it was Donald Francis that got put through Wimpy's window

Remember when they beat us in the FA Cup?
A few weeks later we were playing somewhere up north, possibly Grimsby or Boro.
Anyway our Yelloways luxury coach from Middleton, was overtaken on the motorway by a coachload of giddy Blackpool fans, giving it the “two one” signs, cheeky fookers.
A few miles up the road, we pulled into the services and they were there. They weren’t laughing for then. :)

I was on that coach, we pulled into hartshead moor services, smacked a few of them they ran into the toilet area and wouldn't come out till police turned up and escorted them back onto their coach.

I consider all this rufty tufty talk from the "old days" pathetic and a sign of a sad life!

But then... I am a proud pacifist and find all forms of wanton violence nauseating.

Ok I’ll bite

What do you do when a mob of cunts runs at you ?

It never happened 'cos I use to avoid those mobs... tucked my scarf away... I would have run away from them if they looked like they were after me!!!

Mind you, a bloke standing next to my girlfriend got his head split open by a lemonade bottle chucked by a Stoke fan. Blood everywhere... We moved away from the area...
