How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

The views of the guy who negotiated Brexit

If ever there was a guy unfit for the job, like the rest of them he was in it for the money he didn't believe in it (proven) knew it was a crock of shit, but still went ahead and negotiated the worst possible deal, the whole Brexit period has been a national shame, a blight on our history

I have no doubt we will rejoin but it will be on worse terms than before and the acceptance of the Euro (I don't have a problem with that, I have no nostalgic love of the £)

So that would be the same David Frost who said, two years ago:

“People and businesses do respond very quickly to incentives and incidentally the other area where you see this is trade movements from Ireland across Great Britain into the rest of the EU, where the so-called ‘land bridge’ has sort of collapsed in the first nine months of this year. So that’s one reason why we can’t wait very long, things aren’t happening and it isn’t just theoretical.”

In answer to the question posed in the original post, wait just long for enough of the FOC's that voted for it to die off ...then vote ourselves back in.

Not looking for a heated debate on this one but given that the younger generation are strongly in favour of Europe then it is presumablky a matter of time, unless the sunlit uplands of Brexit make an unexpected appearance.

Thats the badger - you'd have thought he would have mentioned his misgivings to his when said boss was having wank dreams about some Bridge and an underwater roundabout wouldn't you

It’s quite a simplistic argument, much of the brexit vote came from disaffected towns that became the red wall for the tories

God help us all if 45-54 is now classed as FOC.

I take the point made though.

I don’t think many 45 -55 year olds are brexit supporters, I’m certainly not and my social group is not, I hate to say this and I know I will get pelters for this, but rather than demographics, I would look at educational attainment as a better metric
