How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

1971 levels this morning.
£/$ parity incoming.
Go for it Kwasi - that 6th grade education's really paying off.
Anybody notice how he snapped at the interviewer when asked about the markets following his mini budget speech. He took a step back to bite his tongue and then pushed forward with an aggressive response.

Seems a proper bully who does not like to be questioned, especially on something so wrong.

As we’re on the Brexit thread, I’m still confused as to why the government made me pay a higher NI contribution when they had over a third of a billion extra per week being ploughed into it?

We must have 40 new hospitals by now, maybe it’s just that we don’t have the staff to run them.

From Jason Alden at Bloomberg: "Highlighting the dire outlook, the pound fell against every single other currency in the world, from the Albanian lek to the Zambian kwacha. The latest fall makes sterling the worst-performing G10 currency in the year so far."

So, just the worst performing currency AND the lowest growth forecast then.

It’s not necessarily Brexit but just goes to show that a decision taken by somebody who was not given such a mandate can crash an economy, just when we didn’t need it.

24 hrs in politics, eh.

He's Kwanker.

and 20 days in to this new administration the cabinet is falling out with each other as the racists out themselves

Such a tricky line to tread.

You want to keep everyone out of the UK to satisfy the racist nationalists, but you also want to destroy all regulation.

Typical Etonian.

You don't really believe that those new hospitals will be for the NHS do you?

And you need someone to pick veg. Otherwise farmers won't plant stuff, and we'll import more food with the pound tanking.

Then there's the talk that they'll rip up the Environmental Land Schemes that was supposed to replace farming subsidies under the EU payments system.

It's all going so well.

I was listening on 5Live earlier and there was the woman ( forget her name ) who leads the representative group for UK apple - pear and flower growers. The picture she painted was bleak for the future - this year was bad - half the harvest left on the trees and in the fields - they got just under half the seasonal labour in they needed ( there may be an influence by one on the other there ) but she still seemed to back the Tories and the economic plan. I think she may have been calling in from Stockholm.

I really think we need a poll for this. I’d be amazed if more than 10% of people think Brexit is a success. However humans are stupid so maybe not everyone who voted Brexit will admit it was a mistake

Take us back EU
We royally fooked up.
It would be akin to someone going back to an ex that ended up off their mash on Ketamine, addled with gambling debts and done a lot of porridge for starting fights every time they went out to a flat roofed gin place.

Not a particularly personable qualification for re-entry.
