How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Bank of England basically saying we need to fix our relationship with the EU.

If only a politician would come out and say that in a way that policy can then start to be changed. Starmer won’t say it as he seems too shit scared of upsetting the people who were sold magic beans for voting for the pile of shite which is brexit.

The gammon would be rioting in the streets .... now is not the time (sadly)

Was just looking at bookmarks and found this one from our old bloviating friend.

Anyway, I know it’s only four and a half years but that’s near enough.

Are you ready to “man up” @Oldham Exile or do we have to wait till May next year?
No he isn't Oldham Exile. Oldham Exile is just a friend of his. Oldham Exile told me so.
I think if I had been so spectacularly wrong and so spectacularly arrogant whilst being wrong, I might hide too.
But that is very unlikely to happen as I'm always right ;-)

Not really a Damascene moment more an "I want to keep my nice well paid comfy job" statement. He said as a public official he takes no position on Brexit which is a naked lie. He was chosen by Johnson because he was pro-Brexit - he made a speech in early 2023 where he said Brexit offers us many opportunities that we have yet to exploit and now this ....... sways which way the wind blows.

Does anybody have a fucking clue what these "many opportunities" are?
