Hart
Zabaleta. Kompany. Nastacic. Kolarov
Yaya. Fernandiniho.
Navas. Silva. Milner
Aguero
Negredo must play in this game.
We go 4222 like this:
............................hart
Zab..............vinny.....nasty..............clichy.
..................yaya.............fernandinho
.......navas..............................silva
.....................aguero......beast
Yaya sits a bit deeper than normal rather than in front of fernandinho. We play a high line and close the space between the lines. Navas digs in and defends and vinny steps out as their players try to find space in the hole. And when we win the ball we spring into attack like lightning with the one and two touch stuff which is our strength. And give the fucking ball to silva at every opportunity. But the holding midfielders keep their discipline and don't bomb on, leaving a big hole in midfield.
That's how you beat Barca. You close up he space they try to exploit and let david silva do the rest.
The front 3/4 pressing high up is vital here. We mustn't let Valdes have the opportunity to roll the ball out or pass it short, thus letting Barca get their passing rhythm going. Make him kick long towards Xavi, Iniesta etc where we will easily be able to retrieve possession. One of the front two needs to sit on Busquets at all times too for the same reason, he is the best one-touch passer in the world so try not to let him do it.
Agree on 4-4-2 as well. Realistically we need to take a win to the Nou Camp. A tactically adept game of chess ending up 1-1 with a 4-2-3-1 is no good to us.
