How would you like the season to be decided?

How should the season be decided?

Void the season. No winner announced. Have the tv companies pay 75% to everyone for their current standings. So no one loses out too much financially. No relegation but promote the top 2 from each division. The following season the tv companies pay the extra 25% on top for the extra games with 4 teams going down and 2 coming up. Then back to normal.

Unless the premier league have a rule that they can determine the outcome of promotion and relegation without the regulation fixtures being completed, the only options would appear to be carrying on past close season or abandonment of current season.
The idea that say Charlton be relegated and Hull stay up with 2 points difference is ludicrous.
There also can't be selectivity on which clubs are almost up or down and have a criteria that decides which are allowed.
We are witnessing with our own club that bollocks decisions by governing bodies can be challenged, and the lawyers would have a field day with any attempt to determine clubs future financial stability being decided by a incomplete season.

A league title has to be earned, not awarded. The same with champions league qualification places, survival from relegation etc.

The only sensible measure is for the season to be completed as soon as it is safe to do so.

Liverpool are going to win the league but as things stand they haven't and the unpredictable nature of sport is what makes it so interesting. When they win the title they'll deserve it, but to award it to them regardless and then have to introduce ground breaking measures to determine the outcome for every other team makes a farce of the whole thing. I don't think any neutrals would consider Liverpool true champions, particularly if the measures taken by the FA are deemed to be to the detriment of the clubs they support.

you are forgetting that the dippers are a cult...they don't give a fuck what anyone outside their bubble think.......they will probably do mass hari kari if the season is declared null & void leaving a note blaming Chelsea fans....

Scrap Euros

and restart league when safe to do so.

I hate Liverpool with a passion and west ham would stay up if scrapped, but that simply isn’t fair
In that context, voiding the 1939/40 - 1945/6 seasons was also unfair? People WILL die, maybe as many in either of the two world wars globally due to this pandemic.

Life isn't fair.

If you set out running a marathon and the race ended after 20 miles, would you expect the person going through the 20 mile mark first to be declared the winner?

Play all games by 31st May or season is null and void.
